  • Опубликовано: 26 июн 2017
  • Just some vlog content between major reviews. We just covered X299, Skylake X, and Kaby Lake X, with more reviews to come this week. In the interim, managed to get a few hours of riding in at Bryce Bike Park in VA, which is a downhill bike park. We have a new (second) GN channel that will cover these bike videos going forward. Check that here:

I wish I had time to do some fun activities like this. But with two kids (one of whom is autistic) it's nearly impossible to find time to get out of the house by myself for some "me" time.
    Kudos, though. Looks awesome.

I would like to see alot more of these, AWESOME VIDEO!!! Bike tech has really advanced since I last road, some 30 years ago.....I used to run the canyons in San Diego. I had a Schwinn Competition, Redline Forks and handlebars, Tuff wheels(I broke to many Alloy rims) with mx takagi quick change sprockets(36x16). it was most fun after the rain, the course would change so dramatically, very steep, not much peddling involved. Scary as hell, but alot of fun.......All the the best to you!

Today on GamersNexus we have a chart showing life experience over time.
As you can see even though more time is spent indoors with the latest overpriced tech, life satisfaction is limited. Outdoor activities such as biking clearly has an increase of life experience over a shorter amount of time with an immeasurable value when you add in the people you meet also sharing the same interest. Helmets will protect you in the long run while a broken arm or leg is means to bragging rights!
Longer periods spent indoors ranting online about Intel's latest launch can shorten your life span thus giving you less life to experience.
In short, going outside is good for you.

Any particular reason you guys went to Bryce? I live about 45 minutes away from there and there is some amazing spots in the area especially if you like more technical downhill as opposed to the flowy jumpy stuff at Bryce.

    • Gamers Nexus
      Gamers Nexus  10 месяцев назад

Great advice! Haven't been to either of those locations yet, but will probably end up there later in the season. I've got 4 free lift days for Massanutten with the Bryce season pass.

    • Tom V
      Tom V 10 месяцев назад

Massanutten's park turned out surprisingly well. If you ride an AM/Enduro bike you can also ride the western slope of massanutten. That side is not lift assisted but there are some fun trails that are worth the pedal and makes for a good weekend worth of riding. Feel free to hit me up if you are in VA and want someone to ride with!

    • Gamers Nexus
      Gamers Nexus  10 месяцев назад

I just really like Bryce bike park and it's not too terribly far (4.5-5 hours). I do Snowshoe a couple times a year, but it's 6 hours away. Need to do Massanutten this season.

Was that a HANS type of rig next to the helmet?

    • Gamers Nexus
Gamers Nexus  10 месяцев назад +1

It basically catches the helmet if you have a hard whiplash, so the helmet will knock into the neck brace to prevent hyper-extension. Pretty effective.

    • dtune30
      dtune30 10 месяцев назад

Yeah. Looks like a smaller version of what race car drivers have. Does it stabilize your shoulders to the helmet?

What's a good chain lube for the dirtier biking? I ride road bikes and Squirt (paraffin based) is awesome for that. Doesn't get sticky and black and nasty like oils. Only downside is I have to lube maybe every 4 weeks instead of 5 weeks. So a minor 'issue'.
