I live in Korea, and  I'm a middle school student who goes to high school next year. Although Korean students including me learn English when we were very young like 5 or 6, we can't talk well to native English speaker. I think this is a very serious problem. While I'm studying in Korea, I always wonder if I am really 'studying'. I think studying is learning and thinking by ourselves, but we just have to memorize textbooks for the test, not thinking. I don't like this kind of education. Instead, I want to find what I want to do(I think that's much more important than just memorizing useless information), but that's almost impossible in Korea. That's because we, Korean students are just forced to study only for the test,  and that test decides our future. Test shouldn't value us. Each person is different and of course, their personality should be different. But in Korea, society value people by what university they graduate. They don't even ask what someone is good at except studying. I want to change this old and wrong(I think) education system.    ____  Thank you for reading my awkward English...My English is really poor as you know, I'm only educated to solve an English test..like a test machine. +I still have a lot of things about Korean education system.. but I think it's not now....!

This wasn’t hard. But considering that it was a foreign language for them makes it harder. This test was great if you were American, as I, a 13 year old, was able to get both correct, however I can see how this could be considered difficult, with the “fancy” language and “big words”.

I feel like I've gone Super Saiyan because I got both right!!
I had to pause the video and read each sentence to myself, then translate it into "common language", and then overanalyze each word....
(For example, overanalyzing "ideal" and how the example of a farmer it gave corresponded to an ideal situation where no effort=lots of payoff: Nature just gives you food without having to toil away! Then I had to think aboit "latter" and "former" and what it was referring to in the text; it was referring to effort and payoff, and that ZERO effort = INFINITE payoff is the "ideal" situatiom, where no one has to work but receives everything!)
    But HEY
I want to study in Korea and now I know I can.
It is 1AM here and my brain is fire.

This test seems completely pointless and would get an average American student a lower grade because of the overbearing usage of higher-level words and lack of sentence fluency. No one speaks English likes this. I’m a native speaker and this seems like old-timey language.

In my country, our education isn't at all high. It's probably low. This is literally a hundred times harder than mine. I'm having my GCSE this year and already started. I think our education system is very low. Even in this small country, alot of people are unemployed. If I lived there, I'll probably be suicidal. Evn tho some people in my country think I'm smart, I'm probably considered an idiot in other countries

These tests are simply made to confuse and make the students fail so that the school doesn't need to give out a large amount of scholarships. I mean come on! These paragraphs are way too long, and contain words that obscure the paragraph's meaning. My brother went to MIT with studying only 5 hours a day, in contrast to these poor souls studying 13 hours a day with barely any sleep. The Korean education system, in my opinion, is way too harsh.
