    When Carla said she doesn’t like raw onions so she won’t include it in her burgers I got so sad :( I love them so much in my burger I usually get extra!! But I guess to many people it’s pretty weird to love onion so much... more for me I guess :)

    I might be shunned, but if it doesn't have an egg, avocado, and bacon it isn't a burger. Yes i'm a fat kid leave me alone. Interestingly enough, i picked up the egg on my burger while i was in Korea(South Korea).

    Looks good -- but I don't buy into the smashing down concept -- your pushing all the juice out. Looks stupid to me, but Im not a cook, so, maybe Im missing something. but nobody in their right mind would smash down on a rib eye while they are cooking it. That's why they let a steak cool for 5 mins before you eat it -- so, the juices don't run out !!! Somethings missing w/ this concept. If I get in the hamburger business -- just look out. Ive got a mind of my own.

      Smash it down while the meat is still raw to make contact with the pan and get that char. The juices won't run out because the fat isn't rendered yet, it's still a solid at room temperature. Don't smash the burger again after you flip it because then the juices would run out everywhere, which would be bad.

    The linked recipe does not follow Carla's steps. For example, the recipe does not call for pepper but Carla heavily peppered her meat, and it calls for ketchup. Where is the secret sauce recipe?

    Carla you are my new hero!!! I’ve spent years mucking around with putting different herbs, spices, garlic, onions etc etc in my mince(ground beef) I just tried supermarket $4.50(aus) 18% fat mince just seasoning with salt and pepper and... WOW!!! It’s just the best! What would be like if I used my own chuck mince?!?! And cheaper than store bought patties!
    Oh and Carla, you are so entertaining to watch for other reasons too, I love your clips! Hope you come to Australia one day and do some demos down here🤓

    Thank you for the idea of smash burgers - I will definitely try this. However, Carla ... you are not a multi tasker are you :)
    Plus, I always have all the dressing prep done before adding the patty to the bun. All the salads, onions, relish go on the top bun and the patty placed on this with sauce on the bottom bun before closing and flipping it on the plate.

    The hate American Cheese gets is ridiculous. If your talking about them plastic sheets that come wrapped in plastic sure I get the hate but a nice deli American Cheese Like Boar's Head or Dietz and Watsons are fantastic. Real American Cheese is a a nice creamy cheese with a mild cheddar taste which goes great on burgers and hot dogs. Stronger tasting cheeses over power the flavor of whatever it's going on IMO.

      +Fahrenheit38 Kraft American cheese slices are a cheese product. so are velveta and cheese wiz those are not real cheese. the american cheese like Boar's head is real because it was made a certain way and with certain regulations/flavors/standards that go along with american cheese or any other cheese you see in a deli or cheese shop.
