I don't follow NBA, NFL, MLB, or golf, but the rest is 50/50...
#9 John McEnroe - That earned its rightful place in the list.
#8 Toronto Maple Leafs - This one was really deserved as well.
#5 Roberto Baggio - What?! A great player missing a penalty is a meltdown? Even if he scored, the next penalty could win it for Brazil... This one doesn't belong anywhere in the list!
#3 Patrik Štefan - Once again, a single mistake is not a complete meltdown. #8 was a meltdown lasting around 15 minutes of the game, this was a single mistake by a freshly drafted player. Why is this one so high?
Also, I've seen too many memes with 2017 Atlanta Falcons for it to be just an honorable mention...

2011 Red Sox deserve to be on here. Hyped up in the preseason as potentially being an all-time great team, they blew a 9-game lead in the Wild Card and missed the postseason when they lost to Baltimore and the Yankees threw the game (let's be honest, they 100% threw it) against the Rays on the last day of the regular season.

I'm not a Lief's fan, but I think the all time best comeback (or collapse if you're a Red Wing's fan) was the 1942 Stanley Cup finals, where the Lief's won the cup after being down three games to none, coming back to win four straight, to win the cup. That should have been number one on this list, in my opinion.

Should've had the 2013 Americas Cup yacht race. The final was New Zealand vs Oracle (USA). First boat to win 9 races wins. NZ SMASHED the Oracle, and was leading the series by a staggering 8-1. Yet... they lost. The American boat, on the brink of elimination, won the next 8 races in a row to finish the series at 9-8 to Oracle. An absolute stunning reversal of events.

I can't believe you put that at #3. Your title is "Top 10 worst Collapses in Sports History" and you ranked number 3 a regular season game. We didn't even give up a huge lead. Oilers were only down by one and tied it. Yes it was embarrassing that he missed the empty net and unbelievable the Oilers with seconds left got the puck to the other end and scored right before the buzzer, but we still won in overtime. How is it a collapse if you still win?

I think Steve Bartman got totally screwed in the court of public opinion. Was he responsible for interfering with Alou’s attempt to make the catch? Quite possibly, yes. Was he responsible for the Cubs giving up 8 runs in the inning as a result of his actions, or the Cubs’ subsequent failure to win game 7? Hell no! It’s pretty sad what he had to endure after that game. Besides, he did the only thing he’s guilty of is trying to catch a foul ball, which almost all of us were taught to try when attending baseball games.
