    Can you help me a have a huge problem ,I wanted to try meditating a long time ago ,but I didn't because I had a problem with it and then I forgot it. Then i saw this video and tried meditating again and I can't ,I just cannot ,because everytime I try meditating my head starts paining. I have a headache when I'm doing it and I can't stand it. Then the headache remains for alteast 2 minutes or more ,depending on how long I meditate for. Once I was able to hold it for 3 whole minutes and it was so bad, horrible and it lasted for like another 3 minutes after that. Can someone help me?

    I am a teacher and I have added five minutes of meditation to the beginning each class period. I have found that this provides my students with an excellent break during their day and provides some space between what has happen before and what happens next - time to breathe.     I meditated for the first time yesterday because of my anxiety and depression, and right after i was done i laid in bed and felt like a totally new person, i was rested and i felt relaxed i felt like amazing something i only feel when im drunk

    I started meditating with a didgeridoo. It locks you into rhythmic, deliberate breathing. You breathe exactly in a circle. No choice.

    I have tried to meditate for 20 years. Did not ever worked as a mood and mind cleaner for me, just wasted time. Maybe because I have discovered that pot, sex and psylos are way more efficient on bringing mindfulness and a quicker path. I respect all those that can do it, but there are probably many other no-go's out there...

    Everytime I attempt to do this instead of being more relaxed it seems that what it's actually doing is making me really uncomfortable and pain on my back and thighs as if some sort of latent soreness was resurfacing and meditation was just teatching me where they were. also everytime I focus on my breath, it becomes heavy and very uncomfortable to breath as I continue to do this and start to feel my chest aching.and I know your just suppose to be aware of the breath don't try to control it. But the moment I bring my attention to it I unwillingly control my breathing, I can't let it happen naturally if I'm focused on it as this gets uncomfortable when I do. The process is not very pleasant at all and that's frustrating. I'm not sure if this has to do with me being out of shape and i don't have control over my core and not internally centered or grounded or something. I feel as if there's something in me that needs work.

    Has there ever been an instance where someone has gotten worse after meditating?

    This may be because I'm doing something wrong but some of the immediate benefits for me was more energy. However, I feel a little pressure (same sensation from when I'm very stressed out) in the middle of my brain and I've been a whole lot more irritable.

    After seeing the video, I tried to meditate for the first time. I sat on the floor in the position described in the video, set a 5 minute alarm, closed my eyes and started to inhale and exhale through my nose trying to focus on my breathing. I do not know if I managed to do it right, I had a lot of thoughts but I tried to refocus on my breath and before I knew, the alarm started. I did not even feel when the 5 minutes passed, I can not believe how quickly it went. I will continue to do it every day because It didn't felt too hard and I will increase the time when I feel like getting used to meditation. Thank you for every video you posted on this channel and sorry for any language mystakes, English isn't my first language but I tried my best to express my thoughts about this subject.

    What do you think of this variation:
    1) find yourself a nice, calm place and make yourself comfortable.
    2) scan with your attention through your entire body
    3) focus on your breath and count it.
    4) after a certain count focus on the environment until your attention drifts off, then you go back to 3).
    Or how about focusing on a simple task? Like sharpening, cleaning, polishing and oiling a sword (if you drift off in your mind you'll either create a scratch or cut yourself)?

    I actually find meditation in bed to be easiest but thats just because from around 5-6 I always made up universes of dragons of tv characters before I went to sleep,I cant focus any other way,I also have issues with my tonsils that cause me to often have a very blocked nose so I have to breathe through my mouth,I then imagine my thoughts to be like a wave,they come and they go. I then after watching these waves head into this imaginary forest behind me to meditate fully, I only mention this in an attempt to show others that there will never one set way for meditation and it is unique to each person.

    I used to do this in bed I just realized, if I couldn't sleep Id force myself to pay attention to just listening to my surroundings, house creeks, pets, sometimes music ect.

    I meditate since december 2013, not everyday but I meditate, i've stopped meditating a while ago just because i've started to feel hungry for meditation, I feel like i'm starving. I've started with 15 minutes and when I decided to stop meditating, 40-45 minutes of meditations doesn't seems to help improving, I mean i seek more and more and I think I'll get lost in this peace place. I don't know if what i've done was wrong or right but now I still have that hungryness for meditation.

    I don't think I really need this because after doing almost 10 mile a day walks for a month even though I was technically being dragged to do it I have noticed that my energy levels have skyrocketed and now that I have no one pushing me even though I am drastically more energetic than before I feel it's slowly going away so hopefully this is a way to retain it and move to the next level

    Meditation is all about becoming indifferent to your thoughts, disconnecting yourself from the "now" so that you can achieve mental calmness. I like to choose the opposite approach, you let your mind race as if you're sprinting for your life. Think of everything all in rapid succession. This drains the temporary stores of dopamine in the brain and gives you the ability to simply relax your mind as if you've been holding a huge weight that you finally get to drop after holding it for far to long.
