    Thanks for this. Always been thinking about meditating but was never sure exactly how to do so. But after I watched this video, I did some simple stretching and then sat for 5 minutes and meditated. I did find my mind wandering a few times (as expected) but all in all, I think it’s something I may try to do. Really helped me distress.

    First off sitting like that is terrible for your knees I should know. and we all meditate naturally everyday its called sleep. so instead of sitting around trying to be a Buddhist monk get up and do something productive!!!

    Is it normal to feel pain in the groin area? After like 30 seconds of sitting down my legs start to get numb too. It's difficult to focus on my breath when I'm trying so hard to keep my posture correct

    This is wrong. Do not use an alarm, do not use an alarm. Just tell your mind how long you want to meditate, 15 minutes for example, look at the clock close your eyes, you will be amazed that you will stop EXACTLY at 15 minutes. Trust your brain.

    I always meditate with my eyes open, staring in to space but I see pictures. I don’t need videos I just randomly did it when I was younger waiting for my Mum to finish shopping

    Actually, if you are going to do it once a day, do it before bed. You are going to rest your mind, so when you sleep, you will cut down the time needed(for most that dont get enough sleep, this means better sleep) to sleep, and your body will rest more, since your mind already is.

    The goal: Just like when you are very tired, once you lay down, you will start to feel as if you are "sinking" or "melting" in your bed. Some people do feel like they are floating.
    Step1: Dont start laughing, on the bed, inhale by the nose for 4 seconds, hold your breath for 4 sec, exhale 4 sec or more by the mouth.
    As you breath out, you will feel lighter at each exhale. DONT THINK about anything, repeat as necessary until you feel your body or head SPINNING. !
    RESULT: Varies by person, but mostly, you will see, hear, or feel things. Dont be afraid, your gift is waking up.

    The benefits are immediate : you will be quieter. all day. It also regulates your prana. Immediate benefit again.
    other benefits take longer ... agree.
    I did this type of meditation ... i got addicted to (a truly quiet brain is addictive) it and was enjoying "breathing" 3 hours in a row daily. Which would give me energy to sleep only 4 hours instead of 8. And i got mental powers, not reliably but flashes. (like i saw a dead guy who killed himself sitting on a table near his suicide spot some hours later after they already removed his body ... , i described the guy i saw, it was him !!!, or i saw myself from the eyes of a bird that was flying stationary thanks to strong wind on my side, i also had my best streak in investment, I was financial analyst and fund manager, and had my best moments then. I remember the guy from the stock-market department who would comment me that i made 18 winning moves in a row (they were making stats on what we were doing !) . Essentially you become more focused (truly focused ... no back program working in your mind ... it takes time to understand what i mean by backdoor program ... but to give an example ... psychosomatic sicknesses are backdoor programs ... ahhh and by the way it definitively healed my hay fever being 35 yrs old) . Telepathy became an almost daily experiment. I would also see advertisements and other things written on the panel than what truly was written (this part is strange ... TBO ... way to go for a theory of manipulation and ... ) . It was a very interesting period of my life.
    Ahhh and while i describe it now, it feels like supernatural, amazing , incredible. But at the time, it was truly normal ... i would not even comment to people what i was seing or perceiving , knowing that they wouldn't understand and an endless conversation would follow. But i was so quite ... it was very normal. I wouldn't react on the things.
    The stock market performance showed me i was not in a dream ... it was very real. And more than where people think it is real. (the guy who killed himself, the daily telepathy , all these things proved very real ... so in a sort I was more awaken than the others or than now but i was not reacting .... it is strange i must say)
