Brexit Secretary Dominic Raab resigns - BBC News

  • Published on Nov 15, 2018
  • Brexit Secretary Dominic Raab has resigned saying he "cannot in good conscience support" the UK's draft Brexit agreement with the EU.
Theresa May announced on Wednesday evening that she had secured the backing of her cabinet for the agreement, after a five hour meeting.
But several ministers were understood to have spoken against it.
And there are suggestions of moves among Conservative backbenchers to force a no-confidence vote in her.
    Please subscribe HERE
Mr Raab - a Leave supporter who was promoted to the cabinet to replace David Davis when he quit in protest at Mrs May's Brexit plans - is among a group of senior ministers thought to be unhappy with the agreement.
Earlier on Thursday, Shailesh Vara quit as minister of state for Northern Ireland, saying he cannot support Mrs May's agreement, which he said "leaves the UK in a halfway house with no time limit on when we will finally be a sovereign nation". #BREXIT #BBC #NEWS

So, the guy that was in charge of negotiating the Brexit deal is resigning because he does not like the Brexit deal he negotiated. Nice one.

What a traitor Raab is. Why did we send another politician who hates Europe to try to do a deal? Davies - another traitor- was bad enough but this Dominic Raab is truly awful for trying to stab May in the back.

She wants to give the EU 39Billion? Billion? Thought we was broke? Food banks, Universal credit! People waiting till 67 for Pensions paid in since they was 15, dropping like fly's testicular cancer, breast cancer in their 60's!!!! Poisoned more like so they don't draw the Pension they've worked 50 odd years for! 50 odd years think about it? No gucking jobs, zero hour contracts????? Education is a mess! the kids are being taught lies, no truth, all their taught that it's ok to bend all ways! Sick! NHS near non existent, can't speak to a receptionist never mind see a doctor! No Law and Order! No Coppers available unless it's a royal birth marriage or death unless it's to guard Parliament from the protests that we should and are entitled to make! If you have a Car theft, Burglary, Rape, Robbery of a shop or Premises, even the high street shops, yobs, violent behaviour your better off calling Ghost Busters! You will get more response than from the Police because there aren't none, just office bods. May has made sure of that! She must have classed the police as unnecessary expenditure! Im off! I'm sick to the stomach of the Government and more so that People can't see it happening before their eyes!!!! I don't know how many times I type the same posts and I feel it's a waste of time, but can't give up because unlike Treason May I have Children and Grandchildren that it is my instinct to protect! And I'm on repeat repeat repeat for them not me! Because when the shit really hits the fan in this Country I will be 6feet under and won't be able to protect my Grandkids! Hold on if I can I will gucking haunt Cameron, Blair and May and others lol. Seriously, I'm not a fighter, but the Tory front benchers are taking the preverbal! Taking the piss! Get her out and all those on the front Benches! McVey was reported as crying because an MP shouted at her????? Well she didn't cry when she was dolling out the draconian amount she expected the poor and one armed and legged people with disabilities and mental incapacity to live on did she???? Did she when she was a director of the Madeline McCann fund be harsh with the McCann's as to their expenditure? To be fair she did resign from the fund as she in my opinion knew it wasn't Cosher and it would impact on her Political Career if and when the shit hit the Fan! Again, may never happen, we have the usual Gabalist Members, Brown, Blair, Cameron, May all involved with the death of this little girl politically! All giving the Parents a Pass, not being investigated like me and you would why? They just gave Scotland Yard another £150,000 to investigate a dead child basically! Because the Cadaver Dog alerted to death in the McCann's Apartment full stop! The Parents insist she may be alive and all the Politicians must feel the same to keep ploughing this case! I think it's 13million thus far! Listen, I would give 100,00o billion if I had it to find Maddie alive! Ain't happening. That little lovely girl is gone. The Dogs don't lie. Why are the Government in Austerity, keeping on funding this???? Something is not right! Please research this case also. Our Government from Cameron to May have gotten worse in their downright lies. Yep Blair is a War Criminal hang him high. Gordon Brown the same. We give them too much power and we have to change the system. Peace. Hope they don't M15 me.

What can you expect when elected cabinet ministers are undermined by the unelected Ollie Wormtongue Robbins.
Even worse the PM sides with Robbins against her own ministers. She voted for Remain and it shows.

What was the point of him? Did Raab; as a key player we are told, know the terms of the deal from for example last week? If not why not? If so why did he wait until now? What was he doing in Brussels over the past month of 'talks'. Being a tourist? What was the absurd Braverman doing? What is the point of these titular ministers who have no power, no clue and no spine?

Maybe I don't understand, but I think "Brexit" supporters and workers resigning is a good thing. Who is really into this, anyway except a weird and callow minority with too much access to media, and a media into self-perpetuation choosing to report the most spurious and click making. So much of this has to be taken cynically, at best. "The medium is the massage" after all.

When a PM thinks she has the backing of the people who voted for Brit-exit behind her, and obviously does not, it time to step down. The ministers whom still support May should think twice, betrayal always has a price, and those MPs will find that out in future elections.

Typical BBC "reporter" crap. At 1:58 she says that the Brexit Secretary "has now resigned because he didn't like the outcome of his own negotiations". Utter bullshit. He clearly states in his resignation letter that he has resigned because of two EU exit policies which are being forced upon him. Why do the BBC in particular keep trying to drive politics instead of just reporting on them? Isn't it about time we had a referendum to terminate television licenses and make the BBC accountable for earning it's keep?
