They found my son had an IQ of 128 when he was bored in school at 7 years old. My favorite thing about him was his sense of humor at age 3 when he was laughing at some comedy show on TV and we wondered how he understood an adult level humor. My daughter had the IQ of 124, she was not as fun, because my relatives spoiled her so bad; the real her is still lost in her 40s that Narcissitic thing took her over.

1:32..apparantly, being able to do long division makes you a genius according to American media.

  • VanMedia
    VanMedia 13 days ago +1

I hate the media and their exaggeration and sensationalism. THIS KID IS NOT a GENius. Sure, hes doing math a couple of grades higher, but that's nothing special. That's only because our education System is slow. Most kids in America especially in elementary are doing super basic math. They should actually be doing higher level math than what the system is teaching them for their level. When you go to vietnam, you'll see they're doing american middle school math in their 4th or 3rd grade already.
Terry tao is a math genuis, not this kid. Memeorizing math formulas dont math you a genius. Being able to visualize math, or think about math from a higher level or theoretically, that's where it's hard, and those are the genuises

These 'kid genius' stories are mainly exaggerated feel-good stuff. I think society has a misleading understanding of what entails 'intelligence' or 'genius'.

So this kid is 15 now, well, I am 12. I have taken an IQ test and I am in the 99th percentile, yet didn't apply for Mensa. Mensa is nothing but a sort of ego trip, unfortunately. My dad's friend, who applied for Mensa, then came out. He said it was one of the most hypocritical groups there is. Everyone had an very high ego, and it literally was a trip of ego. I am also INTJ for those who want to know, so, seriously, I know. And also, these high IQ dudes aren't the next Einstein's, and you are getting that from a guy who is known as Mini Einstein. IQ just defines how quickly your brain can process, not what you can learn. If you have an average IQ, don't get discouraged. By the way, IQ is definitely not set in genetic stone, because I have increased my IQ from 135 to 138 or so, by doing practice. Please attempt your dreams.

its amazing how he was able to recognize the arabic symbols as a representation for "things" at such a young age. that's a concept that I remember grasping in 6th grade algebra. I know I wasn't capable of understanding that until things WERENT represented. when numbers became just numbers was when I learned that numbers had previously not been just numbers. then again he actually doesnt state that he understands that. he simply remembered the representation from such a young age. theres no way anyone can know a word for something before theyve heard it. its simply the state of language. one would invent a word in that case. to a 2 yaer old. even a genius. those numbers MUST represent letters. it must be a recognition of symbol.

Whenever I hear about some sort of child prodigy I always feel really horrible for their siblings. Parents will be proud of their prodigy child, but siblings will want to compete and do better than them. To be told that you just can't physically do what they do no matter how hard you try, because of something totally out of either of their control, would be really disheartening. This boy's sister will almost inevitably live in his shadow.
