Questions? Which means resulting in mass injury, even death,
choice of delivery weaponry, is more desirable, clubbing with a metal baseball
bat, stabbing and slashing with a long sharp machete, or shooting with a high

But still many americans don't get it. You talk about your liberty taken away from you with stricter gun laws? Well, I live in Germany and I never had to worry about mass shootings. It Simply doesn't happen here that often. That is it what liberty should feel like and I'm glad to live in a country like that.

Parkland was awful, but too many gun laws/banning certain guns are bad. Law abiding citizens are forced to wait weeks, or even months for their guns while criminals pay a dealer a few hundred dollars in cash and get their guns all Willy nilly. And why are they all saying the 'blood is on Trump's hands'? Obama was in office when many school shootings happened, and he passed much less gun laws than Trump did, why didn't anyone call Obama out? Maybe, just maybe, the media is using ANOTHER tragedy caused by a 1 in 100 nut job to push an anti-trump message! Also, Emma Gonzales doesn't know what she's saying. She contributed to the shooters mental illness, talking about compassion but admitting to bullying him severely. And he wouldn't hurt anyone with a knife? Have you seen Japan. Some people can kill more people with a kitchen knife than the shooters did with a gun!

Look, this shooting was a tragedy but they're missing part of the point. Gun laws only weaken the people of the United States. Why dont we increase school security? Pay more attention to people who may he threats. Because I can guarantee you people who go to Parkland could say " yeah there was something off about they guy who shot us up".

    • Ryan B

There needs to be better enforcement on civilians with guns. Two the culture in this country needs to do better. The thing that baffles me is I don't hear any thing about the culture in that school. Honestly that school looks like a douchebag rich private school. If the guy was seriously bullied, it is actually cute the media not wanting to look deep into the culture in that school. Lastly, better mental health. People need to see more therapists and there is nothing wrong with seeing one. They deserve more money in general.

  • ldkusa71

Let's see. Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel's police department (Who visited Parkland shooter Nikolas Cruz's home due to over 30 domestic violence calls. But didn't even place him in custody of a mental health hospital for an overnight mental health observation), Nikolas Cruz's guardians (Who were familiar with his mental problems. But let him buy firearms instead of telling him "I am sorry. But due to your mental health problems, you are not allowed to buy firearms as long as you are living under our roof. My house, my rules!"), Nikolas Cruz's high school (Who was so familiar with Cruz's threats of violence that some teachers actually banned him from bringing a backpack to their classes), and the FBI (Whose Washington D.C. office received a tip that Cruz was planning a school shooting a few weeks before it happened. But didn't pass the tip to the Florida office). >:( But hey! Let's continue demonizing the NRA and millions of responsible, law-abiding, American gun owners! (Rolling eyes)

Is it just me or do they all seem a lot more afraid of violence n their schools today then we did 30 years ago when there was a much higher rate of violence in schools? For whatever reason, this latest rally to suggest new "common sense " gun laws has culminated in the ultimate suggestion that Trump is somehow responsible for school shootings and should take less vacations. So apparently if Trump takes less vacations then we don't need to change any laws? I'm just trying to make sense of the solutions so clearly presented by these kids. In the last few years of the use of children by the liberal left to further their agenda of disarming Americans which has nothing at all to do with school shootings, I have yet to hear a single solution presented by the left except when one of them slips up and actually states that they are going to try to take all firearms away from all citizens. It has become almost comical (save for the fact they are trying to remove our constitutional rights) to hear them trying so hard NOT to say that and to hear them continually tripping over themselves to say they "are not trying to take away anyone's guns, just the bad ones." "we just want to make it so hard for a law abiding citizen to own a firearm that no one will ever be able to own one again, except criminals." I guess that way when someone is shot to death that did not deserve it, then it must have been a criminal who shot them. not exactly sound reasoning but hay, we don't do anything about your bathtubs and their responsible for more deaths in your home then your guns are if I'm not mistaken? Pharmaceutical drugs? No problem for our youth! driving deaths? you gotta learn how to drive somehow right? If it costs innocent lives in the process then you should become that much better of a driver right? Don't mind the drugs and human trafficking from south America? Just ignore the much bigger problem then school gun violence and blame it all on the one person trying to fix it all for you so you don't actually have to lift a finger trying to make things right yourself by paying closer attention to your friends and families and getting them help when they need it. I know thats asking a lot but it's not like I'm forcing you to do it.

So when poeple stop using guns and start using bombs who real the blame and after 911 why don't blame the aircraft manufacturers and ban aircraft, And let not forget the Oklahoma bombing mass killings will not stop till we do something with people of mental illness if someone want to kill they will find a way even using cars and trucks.

Norway has 1 out of ~5million people.
Finland has had 3 out of ~5million or 1 per 1.76million.
US from 1982-2019 has had 109 out of ~330million or 1 per 3.03million
So the whole per capita mass shooting number needs to be looked at closer.

gun related homicides in Norway per 100.000 inhabitants: 0.10
gun related homicides in the United States per 100.000 inhabitants: 4.62
