Rusty Deadlocked Vise - Perfect Restoration

In this video i'm restoring a broken swiss vise.
    Like, comment, subscribe.
I bought this vise from a friend for 20$. It was super rusty and dirty, one part was missing, two screws were broken off and the movable jaw was completely stuck. Gressel is very well known in switzerland for making very good, if not the best vises. That fact made it absolutely worth to restore it. They still produce this type of vise today, they just made some very small changes over the years. I found out that they built their vises in this style until 1991. So it's at least 27 years old. It had the rough jaws on, but you could always choose if you want them with rough or flat jaws when you buy a new one. I'm not a fan at all of the rough jaws, because they ruin every surface of clamped pieces. So I decided to put flat jaws on. I still restored the rough ones and I'm going to keep them. I restored this vise for myself.
I hope you like my work and the video.

Gressel still makes the same vice today and many more. If you use the code "mymechanics" you get 10% off. They deliver world wide. If you're located not in switzerland, order with e-mail and mention the code

@Shadow soul60 yes it is. Watch project farm video. Not the absolute best, but still penetrates. I've heard it all now. "WD40 isn't a lubricant," is the funniest one. (Yes, I've seen several people say that.) Water is a lubricant. Anything that reduces friction is a lubricant.

"Gressel still makes the same vice today..."
But they don't make 'em like they used to

Meanwhile in England my two nephews in their 20s are too busy with their 'Call Of Duty' computer games. We need a return to good solid skills, and skilled teachers who can manufacture, rather then assemble. Please also show a film, to highlight the tools you are using. It's all important and very interesting. Many thanks for taking the time and trouble to share your work.👍👍

OK, so I hope this is just a hobby for you. The end result was beautiful, but if you plan to make a living at it you'd have to sell this thing for heap of cabbage considering the time and equipment
    you put into it.

Someone help me out. I watch these incredible restoration videos and there is always a high number of dislikes. Is this due to antique collectors wanting the aged look (petina, etc) to remain? Such incredible craftsmanship, but yet always so many dislikes.
