Michael Angarano Reads The Saddest Tweets from 'This Is Us' | ELLE

  • Published on Jan 23, 2019
  • Since the first mention of Nick Pearson, This Is Us fans knew to brace themselves. The little brother to the show's late but still ever-present patriarch, Jack, had himself died in the Vietnam War, and cast another shadow over Jack's children as they grappled with where they came from and how to carry the legacy of their super-dad. But as viewers know, the time-jumping nature of the show ensures that no character is ever really dead-they return in flashbacks and flash forwards, adding new emotional tangles to the story's many threads. In this episode of Absurd Fan Theories, Michael Angarano - the man responsible for bringing "Clark Kent" to life - takes us down the long, sad road of tear-jerking This Is Us tweets.

I personnaly think, after hearing all what People that experienced war talking abour it, that war is the worst thing that could happen to a person, a country, a comunity a family, etc War is destruction i every sense of the word. War is hate and hate is not an emotion that should be felt by human. Love is the answer. It doesnt that love is easy but it's what keeps people being people and war destroys people...

My dad, the only child, was going to UC Davis when it was closed for WWII. My dad finished his Senoir year at UC Berkley.
All those who did not move on with their degree became eligible for the draft. Men were ran through the draft board like cattle.
Vietnam's draft was much like the draft from the prior war. Except, your number gave you a slight heads up. Draft Dodging increased during this war.
Before you say my dad was lucky -
    14th Infantry
    71 Division
    1st Platoon AP
After Graduation, my dad enlisted and became one of the " Men of 42 ". Retired a US Army Major with a Bronze Star !

Someone messed up for the war and drugs. I'm not saying it was ok or justified but that's the point it wasn't something logical it was something someone broken would do. It was an accident.

I went to the website. Apparently, my draft number was 88, and was called in 1970. Had I been born 50 years before the actual year I was born, and been male, I would've been 26, and they definitely would've wanted me if I passed all the health things and whatnot. Jesus...

People should give him more credit for his work; listening to him talk about the show and his own views on it’s events really surprised me, in the way of “wow, okay, maybe he should get more acknowledged!” Idk if that makes sense, but yeah, it’s my opinion
