Especially usefull for the Arleigh Burke Flight IIA which wree not given Harpoons by some retard designer. But an anti-ship capable Tomahawk will turn them into the multi-mission ships that the (currently superior) Flight I and Flight II are.
Although the Standard anti-aircraft series missiles can be used against ships as well they don't carry the punch of a a bigger missile.
Having one missile for multiple taks is very useful because the space in a VLS is limited.
The combination of standards and Tomahawks would be very lethal. First send the fast agile Standards to cripple the enemy ships sensors and/or weapon systems. Then the big Tomahawk for the kill.
Even without a warhead (dummy) the Tomahawk went trough the containers like a knife trough butter. Imagine the damage on a ship by a Tomahawk WITH a real warhead.
