CHILI Crab & Noodles! Malaysia Food Tour Kuala Lumpur

  • Published on May 29, 2018
  • Kuala Lumpur is an amazing place for anyone with an appetite, and I explored some of the top recommended spots local foodies love and live for.
Bak Kut Teh is a meat stew that is boiled for hours with herbs until it becomes tender, off-the-bone succulent. Though it may be a heavy breakfast choice for some, I thought it was a great start to our food day.
The Chili Pan Mee (dry noodles) with a fried egg, anchovies, and chilis were amazing. The noodles were al dente, chewy, and the perfect snack to add to any food itinerary!
Even now as I'm writing this description, the thought of those crabs just makes me drool! At first, I thought the black crab was cooked in black bean paste, but that wasn't the case. It is covered in a dense, shrimp paste and is incredibly flavorful. The chili crab and the salted egg crabs were equally amazing in flavor, and if you dip some bread in the sauce, perfection!

Mike, you are indeed a chili oil junkie! Chili oil does not go well with or complement every dish. You would probably be perfectly happy adding it to tempura, dim sum, Wiener Schnitzel, bœuf bourgignon, and ossobuco alla milanese. That is your prerogative.

Bak kut teh is one of my fav dishes . You can eat it anytime u want . The BKT in Klang , the soup is usually like a sauce consistency and eaten for bfast. The ones like herbal soup can be found everywhere but the famous ones can be found at Kepong . The quality of the meat and cuts determine how good the soup will be .

Oh if u come to malaysia again..dont forget to try popia, cendol, nasi briyani, nasi lemak, masak lemak cili apa, asam pedas ikan pari..perghh trust me its the good dishes!!
