Wonderfull hapinnes!!!!
The same stereotypical music plays whenever bbc makes a video on india
The drums, occasional bells
Couldn't they find other music?
This music is lot better than whatever Bollywood is giving us in the name of music.
This holiday looks so fun! Can you imagine in the Western world people taking a day off to dance in colors?! SO awesome!
It's Hindu celebration of colours in the name of lord kishna an avatar of lord Vishnu.
Happy holi🙏🙏🙏
Kindly festival in indian holi
Sweet and happy people nice smile
Holi hai! Happy Holi! Jai Bhole Shankar!
Wow is this a documentary by BBC ??
i would rather have something like this rather than a fake pagen xmas... would be a blast
It captured the moment when I celebrated my first "HOLI FESTIVAL" in India. People goes wild as we played colors to the extreme. They told me not to resist otherwise, water and color can goes to my ears, nose, and eyes. Great tips. Glad to share my own experience about what is HOLI is all about. ruclip.com/video/_jW_BueIyHY/video.html
beauty everywhere!!
I really wish that this festival, with all the meaning and beauty it carries, was a worldwide celebration. The world needs more of this.
It is celebrated on a hindu mytholigical event
A demoness tried to kill her nephew by taking him on his lap and sitting on fire, as she had the boon of not burning with fire , but the demoness got burnt and the child survived
Hence we celebrate with colours (no one knows why) on the day and burning leaves at night to commemorate the burning of the demoness, or all the evil of the world.
Many believe it is one of the most pagan festivals of India, along where diwali, the festival of lights. Strange thee festivities survived
wow, superb
A charming festival, I'd like to experience it at least once. I don't think I would let strangers touch my face though.
Strangers put colours on anyone without consent
That is the main magic of holi
Sean Oops No strangers put colours on anyone without their concent.
Since when did the british propaganda machine become interested in East Asian cultures?
Happy Holi

Pinapple411 : hinduism is not religion its the way of life, it is very rigid or soft religion which promotes peace and tranquility among menkind, in hinduism every one invited without change of there own religion, hindu believes whole world is one family.
plz once come rajesthan or goa.
Pinapple411 The festival is within a fortnight.
does anyone know the name of the music?
Honeybee It's unnamed. It's indian classical symphony.
Whats more cheap a bread or a british woman?
Your sister
normal bhamshoe you
borrow anyone topic whether radiation
They're all happy. Nobody's hurt.
Yeah because it's not America where we ruin everything with crazy and greedy people
Is this bad for your lungs?
No. Unlike America they actually pay attention to what is put in things. It's dyed with organic things
Shoulders of Giants yes it's too bad for lungs.
that why we have so much population and we living for generations playing this game.
Shoulders of Giants no the colours are organic
Under all this color is the filth.
It's a big festival in India and we guys really wait for it to have fun and also drink bhang 😍😉🤘🏻
Just in case you don't knw what bhang is visit my channel there is one video about Holi + bhang
Crazy wonderful , bring on the colour. 💐
Looks fun. I feel bad for the people having to clean the place up after the festival is done. =P
The rain cleans it up
And we do it a bit too
Come on, it is one festival once a year. Once a year it is excusable
Choo Choo MotherTrucker , people won't clean it, the rain will eventually.
what a fun festival that must have been!
stunning!😍
cool
wae fery smart
? How is it smart?
what is the purpose of this holly .
@Shivam Shukla can you provide me reference for last two para because I am interested from where you have got this gyan.
Legend is that it is celebrated for the burning of Holika who was trying to kill her nephew, a believer, Prahlad.
So a symbolic Holika is burned in the night, and the next day colours are played.
However like almost all religions, playing colours could be older than the religious legend itself. Playing colours is symbolic more for coming of summers and a rich potential harvest.
You should know . If you celebrate . I don't know . What bother you . I did not mean to hurt someone feeling .
what is the purpose of any festival?
why this show is not telecasted in India?
I have watched all the episodes, here you go
yesmovies.to/movie/planet-earth-2-season-1-17710.html
whats the festival for?
Holi is orignated from Hindu temple named Pralhadpuri temple in Multan, as Puranas dictate that a Rakshasi(similar to demon but not equivalent) named Holika sit on pyre covered herself with a cloth with the help of which she will not be burned and she take her nephew pralhad into her lap not to be covered by same cloth that is protecting Holika because Pralhad father himself a Rakshasa was angry with his son after seeing his son devotion to bhagwan Vishnu because of which he wants to killed his son and Pralhad agreed to sit on pyre because it his father command, so pyre is burned and because of Bhagwan Vishnu's maya cloth covered Pralhad and exposed Holika to fire due to which Pralhad lived and Holika burned and after that bhagwan Vishnu takes Narsimha avtara to kill Pralhad's father for this adharma due to this reason Hindu celebrate Holi.
People perpetuating myth of holi as spring festival or something to do krishna's skin color are imbecile of 1st order.
It's a celebration for coming of spring season in India
Rebecca...if you don't know about anything...it's better not to comment...half knowledge is dangerous...no knowledge is suicidal...use Google
Rebecca Johnson new begginings, new season, forgetting old grudges and making friendship.....thats the festival is about. What you said is a concocted myth.
The most Superstitious people on planet!
(Let's also not forget people living remote places too!)
Ahmed amini you people deserved Christchurch like massacre every hour.
So killing in name of allah is good?
Ahmad Amini and what about you killed innocent animals in Eid .
Atleast we dont kill animals
ye padosi h
iski jalti h isliye logic pel raha
colourful festival
Happy Holi : )
Sadly, in about 50 years all of those happy, rollicking, paint covered children will grow up to develop skin cancer. Their poor families will not be able to pay for any sort of proper treatment, and nobody will be liable because it was all of the poor people that threw the paint on themselves.
O yes all chemical factories built by you people are very good. All fertilizer create by you are good. All GM seeds created by you people are very good. All weapons created by you is very good.
well still its a surprising fact that india is holding 2nd position for its population.
so stupid...if that was the case then millions would have had it by now,its made from natural materials....
John Steinbeck still better than lying naked on beach and burning themselves and getting a skin cancer later!
What's the reason behind such festival?
Welcoming spring and harvest and stuff
And also to burn the evil in lives and fill us with colours
Welcoming spring
Utkarsh Singh I think the story about holika and prahlad is quite stunning
