These ads are so hilariously earnest! Love the jingles for almost every product--no matter how ordinary. They now are so obsessed with 'irony' in advertising, that ads are unbearable these days.

Funny but tragic all this brand-addicting brain-washing "buy our product or your life will suck" hocus pocus from my TV childhood. Since I left the USA 25 years ago never saw this level of hard sell in any other country. I mean seriously, a whole song and dance production that promises to revolutionize your quality of life based on some washing powder, sugar water, choice of mayonnaise, etc. Billions of dollars at stake with millions of TV-watching consumer zombies so go figure. AMERICA, fuck yeah! ;-)

1981 Mazda GLC... "The more you look the more you like"???? THAT is a tough sell. I mean, fuel efficient and reliable they may be, but in terms of looks? Come on, let's be honest. I guess if you don't park it near an Imperial, Lincoln or Cadillac you might be OK.

If you don’t like Ragu keep it to yourself asswipe. I’m sure you import all the ingredients from Italy spend hours slaving over a hot stove making that slop I wouldn’t feed to a rabid coyote you call sauce. I’m getting ready to crack open a can of Chef Boyardee beefaroni and later take my Grand for her 91st birthday to the Olive Garden you got a problem with that too.

Bobby Brady I thought so at the time. But having been raised on farm fresh food from home and the community. Having had bushels of fresh peaches in the summer and homemade butter on sweet corn in June until I glutted myself, And comparing that to the food that is available to me now, I don't feel deprived at all.
I was painfully shy and embarrassed myself when i finally did order my first burger. I will never forget that burger.
      IT was aweful.

1:27:39 gum products... both sold on each side of the Atlantic and with the same purpose in mind... sugarless means chemicals... means chemical castration... I say no more... gum backwards is mug... think about it... I used to wonder why they would even need to advertise such a product which has to enter the human body and serves no real useful purpose... didn't do me any harm... but then again I grew tits and my balls went funny and the operation scars don't really show any more so... hmmmm chewy

How the he'll is it my 2013 Chevy Truck gets the same gas milage as a 70's model Chevy truck? There's nearly a 40 year gap in engineering and design. I'm figuring the Chevy Truck add is from 1976 to 1977 because of the truck grill this is a real skull scratcher ain't it?

Bribri- You can't be serious. That car had a whopping 20 horsepower and could only go 40-45 mph. That was a low tech engine that sucked balls compared to ANY engine getting 20-30 mpg even in the 70's, let alone in a modern car.

    • bribri bribri
      bribri bribri 2 месяца назад

The ford model t gets around 20-30 MPG, technology has nothing to do with mileage

    • ravenfn
      ravenfn 3 месяца назад

This isn't hard to figure out. Your Chevy, because of engineering advancements, is probably making closer to 300 horsepower with the same amount of fuel. That dumpy 70's version is probably 150 hp max, and gets much worse gas mileage AND pollutes the atmosphere very badly.
