    SUMMARY
-You’ll be perfectly fine if you just buy a phone, take it out of the box, and start using it right away.
-It doesn't matter whether you’re using your phone while charging or not, it’ll still charge the same exact way.
-If the charger works well enough, it won't harm your mobile device. So if you need to urgently charge your phone in an emergency or the factory charger it came with doesn't work anymore, you can get any cheap version that’s compatible with your smartphone.
-If you simply shut your device off from time to time, nothing dramatic will happen. In fact, some devices may actually start working more effectively after you reboot them.
-Feel free to charge your phone even if the battery is as full as 90%. Charging your phone frequently doesn't hurt the battery.
-If you wanna extend your battery’s lifespan, keep it charged between 40 and 80%. Believe it or not, this actually helps the battery live the longest.
-Freezing your phone does nothing more than kill the battery. The thing is that lithium-ion batteries react badly to both cold and heat.
-The built-in system on your phone is already dealing with everything that should be done to keep your device’s performance in tip-top shape. As for third-party task managers, they’re actually more likely to decrease your phone’s performance.
-It's perfectly safe to leave your charger plugged in unless you have a damaged charger, pets at home, or no lightning protection.
-Experts recommend discharging your laptop to zero percent no more than once a month.
-If you’re just surfing the Net or reading articles, it doesn’t influence your battery life any more than listening to music does.
-Wi-Fi consumes even less energy than your smartphone needs to maintain the cellular data connection.
-Avoid leaving your smartphone, tablet, or laptop in direct sunlight or in a hot car. And definitely don’t take your gadgets to a hot place, like the beach or sauna.
-The problem with storing batteries is that they lose their charge over time. And when this charge drops to zero, your battery will automatically kill itself so that it doesn’t become unstable.

The best way to prolong battery life is try to keep it as close to 100% as possible and use a battery charger that is rated for less than what came from the factory. My first smartphone was a Samsung Conquer 4g. I bought it on 5-26-12. I would use the battery down to less than 10% everyday and fully recharge it at night. The battery lasted about 19 months which was around Christmas of 2013. I got a different phone and I let the old phone sit for a year before replacing the battery so I could convert the phone into an mp3 player. So I started using it as that on January of 2015. Since then, the phone has never dipped below 95%. It still works today 6-29-19. I started this practice when I got an HTC One for Christmas of 2013. It lasted for 4 years daily use. It became of a mini tablet of mine when I got my ZTE Axon 7 at the beginning of October in 2016. I never let the phone dip down below 80%. I plan on keeping this phone until I need to replace it. I'm guessing Christmas of next year.

I do not agree with this video on couple of things .
First the statement your phone will charge the same if you use it or not ? Really who makes statements like that ? Think a little , the thing that drains battery the most is your screen (especially now - the era of the bigger=the better) more screen = more power . If it is not TYPE-C there is no way you can charge your phone and lets say play a video game , but then we start speaking of heating ! Some phones even charge slower when the phone is overheating or stop completly to save it . (newer models will stop charging and even shut down if the temperature is too high)
Second - Not charging your phone overnight for fear of damaging the battery. - Yeah it does harm the battery . Every battery has a limited number of cycles it can charge and discharge , and yes the phone stops charging when you hit 100% , but then start draining and hit 99% , and suprise you know what happenes - yep lets charge it again to 100% . Most batteries count that 1 % charge as a cycle - that means your battery will start deteriorating faster . The same as laptops - if you keep them plugged in nonstop in AC power the battery dies faster. Anyone who tries to prove the opposite to me hasn't been working with laptops or phones enough.

Seriously, i think this video is not so helpful. Some holistic approaches we observe like not charging phone overnight is not because of batteries, its for safety reasons . Using a phone straight out of the box without charging is not right. Experience over long time shows the batteries never last long.

Literally the manual for the Galaxy s10 plus says to plug it in and charge fully before activating. Sure you can use it out of the box but if the factory is recommending it, it's probably best to get a full charge first.

I always thought most people knew these things were nonsense- The only thing that I saw in a commercial a couple times a few years back was if you leave the charger plugged in after the phone is done charging is that it will continue to be using electricity. Even though you are not currently charging. So to save on electric usage. It said to unplug the charger after use. I have no idea if that is true? I just know I saw it on a commercial for energy conservation. What do you think ? Is that true?

The WHILE CHARGING ONE, is less about the battery, and more about if you move the cable wrong you will BEND it in a way that can add extra where... if you do not care about needed to buy another cord every few years due to ABUSE of the cord you are fine there... It can also add stress on the DONGLE CONNECTION so it won't clip right... but the point is it is about the CORD,, not the BATTERY. So that one is more a HALF MYTH/TRUTH.
