I understand the chewing situation, when my parents are done eating I'm 1/4 of the way done.

Starting to make me wonder. I've had episodes where it feels like some food gets stuck or just sits for a while. Drinking something doesn't take the feeling away either. I also have times when I'm eating and literally get the feeling that if I swallow even what I'm chewing it's going to bounce. Usually I have to hold it up the side of my gum and allow small amounts down at a time. And trying to make myself relax when I'm in that state is so bloody hard but it's the only way unless i can discretely spit it out.

I've had this condition all my life as well, had the "surgery" a few times as a teenager but never in my adult life (no insurance, can't afford it). I also have pretty messed up teeth (again, no insurance). Eating is such a...chore. It's even more fun that I've resorted to wearing cosmetic teeth to hide the screwed up ones so taking that out in public is...well let's just say I've become a real ninja about it lol. I've had so many scares without having this procedure done, it's almost commonplace at this point. I'm glad you made this video, makes me feel less alone about this whole ordeal. I'll remember this the next time I'm the last one still eating in a group lol

I have ineffective esophageal motility and the doctors don’t know whats causing it. My doctors don’t even plan on giving me treatment. Food just sits in my esophagus and its so uncomfortable i hate this.

My teeth are embarrassing for me. I had them all pulled at 5. Now here I am at 27 with nothing but broken teeth and a horribly misaligned bite to the point of having problems chewing. Hopefully one day I'll be able to eat what I want and be as open as you ❤️ love to see someone so open about the struggle. I had never heard of this issue concerning your throat but it's very intriguing to watch.

Thank you for sharing your story. I have many surgeries since 2016. Two major with my cervical spine. It is always hard to know you are going under and have no control. Very amusing to see the aftermath. You two were cute. I did just tell my husband never ever film me.

My mother has this and it is very scary when her food doesn't go down. She panics and can't breathe. She has had her esophagus stretched and now the Dr says that they can't do it anymore and the problem is worse now and there is nothing we can do. I hate seeing my mother go through this it is awful! Thank you for sharing though cause i really didn't understand very well until this video, so thanks again Jeffree!

I have a similar condition called "Dysphagia" which basically means difficulty swallowing. I have a spot about 3" on the right side of my esophagus that just doesn't work, so I often get food stuck. It hurts so bad when food is trying to go down and air is trying to come up at the same time - esophageal spasms. It even happens just getting a drink of water! There's nothing they can do for me so I just have to deal with it. SUCKS!!!!

I choked on a banana on stage. Yup. Shoved it down sooo far, my throat, it could not crush it.- can't breath -" PANIC " I will never forget. I feel yah. Thank god the drummer was my boyfriend. NO ONE knew what was happening and he flew up on stage and "removed" it. I still won the deep throat contest tho, I must say, green banana's are off the menu. Good to see you have some "closure" (lol) on your journey, and the BEST life you can!
