Chaing mai is where I fell in love with Thai people and learned to hate Chinese.

    • LIVE TRAVEL ASIA
LIVE TRAVEL ASIA  4 months ago

Lol lately the Chinese have been educating tourists on social etiquette so it’s getting better. I actually find them okay aside from the occasional girl that cuts in front of you but I just tell them what’s up and they generally go back in line

Always take hats and sunglasses off along with shoes when entering temples.

    • yotakayotaka
      yotakayotaka 7 months ago

Just take them off when you enter buildings in temple. However, no punishment enforced especially for sunglasses because those who have eye surgery or are blind need sunglasses.

    • LIVE TRAVEL ASIA
LIVE TRAVEL ASIA  8 months ago

well l see the locals even wearing sunglasses but it couldn't hurt. Great advice

Inside the square moat is called the "Old City" not the Old Town.

    • LIVE TRAVEL ASIA
LIVE TRAVEL ASIA  8 months ago +1

Haha I imagine the Thais call it something in Thai but thanks for the clarification. It's just a bunch of tourists in there mostly so I didn't know there was a standardized way of calling it. But for youtube search rankings I have to address it both ways so even the ignorant like me can find my videos hehe

Good video, mate. Every tourist should be prescreened for stupidity at the airport before being let into Thailand. Western tourists specifically give other Western tourists a bad rep because of the crap they pull while vacationing in Thailand. It’s embarrassing. As a result, many Thais developed a stereotype and view most Western tourists in Thailand as losers back home who lack manners and basic etiquette. Force every person to take a short behavioral exam and you’ll be surprised how many are denied entry.

There was a European lady who posed topless inside a wat and she was arrested. Supposed to be jailed for many years. She was forgiven on the condition she made a public apology

Yeah there were these guys from liverpool who drew graffiti on the walls and same thing. Pardoned. They are quite understanding cause that would not fly if you were Thai

One thing I hate about CM is the footpath unlike BK. In CM the road is built only for motorists, you have to walk on the road most of the time. Great vid😎
