I have been diagnosed with OCD (among many other fun things....) and I am absolutely OBSESSED with rubbing alcohol! It started over 15 years ago, when my OCD started to affect my life. I began purchasing large quantities of 90%+ rubbing alcohol for cleaning everything, mainly electronic devices which are used in the hand, and can develop a nasty greasy sheen after some use. I since found TONS of uses for my beloved isopropyl :) Thanks for adding to the list.
Pro tip, buy a small spray bottle from your local walmart and just fill it with 90% isopropyl alcohol to use as sanitizer. Just spray it directly onto your hands and rub together! It smells great and keeps your hands soft and dry!

I put 1 liter of 90%alcohol in 2 shoes, and everything was locked in a plastic bag for 2 days. Didn't help.
What helps is BORIC ACID. I put ones in a while tea spoon of boric acid in each shoe. After you can wear shoes non-stop - no bacteria will survive this sauna.

Oddly enough Vodka WILL also eliminate orders as well!!! Spray it on your jeans and let them sit in a bag for an hour and it will soak up the stink out of them it also works in shoes, just squirt some from a spray bottle into your shoe and allow them to dry for a while!! Expensive way to deodorize your clothing but it does work!!

Some other uses for rubbing alcohol (70%, not 91%, by itself in a spray bottle; inexpensive and lasts a long time):

To help avoid poison ivy rashes, within 30 minutes of exposure, spray exposed flesh with rubbing alcohol and then rub and rinse off under running water. Or for harder to rinse areas or your face, spray onto a paper towel and wipe over the affected flesh. Advise showering after for best protection. This works because the alcohol breaks the binding of the urushiol with your skin so the oil can be rinsed away instead of rubbed in. For existing rashes, it will disinfect the flesh and dry any pustules plus alleviate itching temporarily and can be applied as often as needed. Apply directly or onto a paper towel and then wipe the affected area.

Safe pesticide to kill small bugs inside the house like ants, gnats, fruit flies, house flies, and moths. Spray directly on insect. Insects in flight will be downed for an easy kill. It kills smaller insects quickly with only a single squirt. Because the alcohol evaporates quickly with extremely little residue, it is less messy and safe to use if you have pets.
As an antiseptic, to staunch bleeding in small wounds, and to alleviate itching for small cuts and insect bites.
For oily skin instead of using store bought cleansers, spray onto a paper towel and then wipe the oily skin to dry and cleanse it. Wait awhile before applying any rehydrating creams or lotions. Be careful when wiping around the eyes and mouth. Note: safe to use when needed but the smell will be strong. Use only as needed.
To loosen grease and oils from dishes before cleaning. Best when applied to fresh stains, rather than old ones. Especially good for plastics, which tend to absorb and retain an oily film on the surface, even when washed with soap and hot water. Dishes should be rinsed well first. Then spray the alcohol directly and set aside a few minutes before washing. No need for a second rinse. Scrubbing may still be needed for baked on grease.
For cleaning and disinfecting computers and mobile devices, including screens. Spray onto a paper towel and then wipe. Safe to use on screens and will evaporate quickly but may need to wipe dry after with a clean paper towel to avoid streaking. Best if device is powered down before cleaning.
As a window and mirror cleaner, apply directly or to a paper towel then wipe to clean and dry with clean paper towels to avoid streaking. Might not work well on difficult stains, especially old ones.
