As always, a wonderful performance; loved hearing the choral, since that is not always performed (shout out to Ben Hilgert back there). I do wish that it had been a recording of the full work, but this is a great snippet I can use in my classroom.

Everything is perfect but one thing - this is not a Russian Christmas music :)

love the choir addition. Is that standard? Also what type of chime mallets?

Where can we find the chorus parts to add? We do this EXACT cut for our traditional Holiday concert and adding the chorus parts would be awesome!

@East Chapel Hill Bands and Orchestras I've also been trying to find a recording of this music (or at least find sheet music), but no such luck. What they are singing from 2:06 to 2:48 is part of the Christmas message: "Slava vo vyshnikh Bogu! Slava vo vyshnikh Bogu i na zemli mir..." ("Glory in the highest to God! Glory in the highest to God and on earth peace..."). Hope you have better luck than me.

What is the title of the choral piece? I'm trying to find a recording of just the choir. Thank you!

The work can be performed without the chorus, but there are other groups that certainly use chorus if they are available! Not sure about the chime mallets. I'll ask!

It's funny how this piece wasn't written as being much of a Christmas piece. I wish it had a different name, because it would work well for other times of the year, but the name alone puts it in that box.
