Escaping to a Secluded Japanese Mountain

  • Опубликовано: 13 мар 2018
  • People often romanticise the idea of retreating to a secluded mountain, to a temple or shrine. Now I can see why. (Even if the tranquility is somewhat disturbed by the presence of Ryotaro).

What is Ryotaro saying at 10:46? うげたもう? I can't find it in a dictionary, so maybe it's a traditional saying (or I didn't catch it correctly, which isn't unlikely).

Seriously, really am enjoying your channel but its got me wanting to visit Japan even more. Cheers from So. Cal.

i had to comment that i would love to see a movie called "Gon with the rice" so long as it portrays real 17 or 18th century Japanese migrating on horseback through perral in a sort of zigzag motion till they reach there destination despite all there obstacles along the way only to have one or so caricature live to the 1990"s to tell there story before they die...

That snow and the forest looks absolutely gorgeous. I would love to visit norther Japan someday. I thought Japan was one big crowded city of concrete and steel and asphalt. Why aren't there more people living in these places? Can one purchase land here cheap, or is it all protected by the government? This area and Hokkaido both look like a great place to buy a plot of land and build a cabin and retire to.
