WatchMojo.com Hello, i love this channel and your dedication towards retro gaming. Just wanted to ask you or anyone who is looking at this post; that since past couple of months i am trying to find out one old NES/SEGA type soccer game which is more like anime style gaming where we play as a protagonist and regarding the gameplay there is only one player displayed on screen while dribbling the ball and the players can shoot the ball with super powers like in Shaolin Soccer.... If the power is op then the keeper fly away like an airplane and the goalpost net is destroyed and so on..... I used to play this game when i was a kid and now i am 33. I am quite sure that lot of other players played this game as well and it would be a great appreciation if anyone tells me the name of this game. I am really desperate right now..😫😫😔😔.. ( Note::: It is not GOAL franchise, which has also super power shootings like in cartoons..) Thank you in advance.. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

If you actually dig into Kingdom Hearts more the timeline becomes less confusing, even not confusing at all.
I know the jokes are fun to make about KH being overlly complicated but in reality it only seems confusing '-'

Why is Zelda not #1? Castlevania, you just need to put the puzzle pieces together. Zelda has split timelines.

Fire Emblem? If dlc is accounted for there are more timeline splits than the legend of Zelda timeline. Also the outrealms cause more confusion due to questioning "did this happen in this world or outrealms shenanigans?"

  • rickau
    rickau 7 months ago

The zelda timeline is relatively easy to understand. I think there is only one game in the entire franchise which is hard to place at the current time but could easily be remedied by the next installment.
The 3 timeline fork in OoT actually makes it easier than trying to stitch them into a single continuity which would be impossible.

There's nothing wrong of Timelines everything, last time I checked, Any Characters live different Universe, Alternate Universe, and more including Characters who control time who can travel through time and verses
Also, Assassin's Creed takes place on Earth and there's a Secret War (Assassin-Templar War) for the past many years since Human-Isu War and Isu War ended
    Time is relative!
I already know the Timeline, Time Travel, and Verses

Note: Verses mean Universe, Dimension, Multiverse, and more

The thing with Legend of Zelda is that the developers:
    1) usually tend to approach LoZ's storytelling and worldbuilding as a secondary concern after gameplay design
    2) generally deal with LoZ stories as self-contained simplistic standalone adventures, unless a connection to another game can be made in a way that is directly relevant to the current game's story

There has been an overall timeline to speak of through the entire history of the franchise. (Second game was a direct sequel to the first. Third game was a prequel in the distant past of the previous games and was followed up by its own direct sequel. Fifth game was another prequel going even further back and had its own direct sequel as well. And admittedly there was confusion and fan theories for a while after that about whether or not a split timeline could be a thing, since they made a game that wasn't a prequel and and had to follow relatively close after the fifth game but it established a future that didn't mesh well with what we'd seen before in other games chronologically after the fifth game.)

The trick, though, is that we're often dealing with a different incarnation of "the hero" in a lot of these games, with vague gaps of potentially hundreds of years between the lives of different heroes in most cases. We tend to only really learn about lore within what we see of each hero's life which is directly relevant to the adventure that the hero is currently living through. It leaves room for a massive amount of unknown factors in the gaps in between major entries in the franchise.

The latest game seems to be doing something pretty weird though. Breath of the Wild's history is effectively "all timelines", seemingly going by the logic that some version of all of that history is effectively inevitable and will happen sooner or later on all timelines. Technically there would effectively be three different versions of Breath of the Wild's events, each one following after the unique order of events that would be on each separate timeline. It's just that after enough time has passed for each timeline to experience its own version of a flood event, its own version of a Twilight Realm invasion, its own version of great war in which armies and sages must finish a fallen hero's work for him, etc.... and then enough time to reach something like BotW's historical backstory after that and then the 10,000 year gap between that backstory and BotW's "100 years ago" backstory and then that 100 year gap until BotW's events actually finally start... The idea is that after all that time all that really matters anymore is that all of those things from the other games happened at some point or another, but the actual order in which they all happened is irrelevant. There would apparently be very little practical difference between alternate versions of BotW that follow after each specific timeline.

  • Nimzo25
    Nimzo25 7 months ago

10:28 That’s the easiest misplaced timeline! It starts with Skyward Sword, then goes into The Minish Cap, and Four Swords. Then Ocarina of Time comes around, and after Ganon’s defeat, it spilts into 3 separate ways, Child, Adult, and Downfall. However, we don’t know where Breath of the Wild stands on the timeline, other than the fact it takes place about a 1,000 years after Ocarina of Time.
