Overhauled the audio for this one. Sorry about the last two uploads. They sounded great on the laptop (my first mistake) and couldn't re-film because I was in Germany. Hope things are much better now :-D

      "It depends on..."

AMD's drivers for Navi lately hasn't come out smoothly like Vega did, but when it does you can definitely start seeing people undervolting + overclocking more often once that happens.

2070 is quite 'capped' in terms of its own maximized performance already, and I'm pretty sure RX 5700 XT has a bit more performance to spare, but is just held back by buggy drivers (GamersNexus seems to pull the short straw and is one of the few who doesn't have a comprehensive test yet).

prices are effected by many things and you need to compare what you can buy and take reference from these videos RTX 2070 Super GAMING OC is here 599 and PowerColor RX 5700 XT 447.

Sorry, you do sound like a shill or just misinformed. The 2070 gaming OC is $509 vs the 5700xt powercolor $439. Why would you recommend the 2070 at $70 more with worst performance than a 5700xt powercolor? SMH

@mustafa Alosta I dont think a larger bios will make a diff either. I hear they will be the same price as the older models. There are probably some old reviews for the original b450 tomahawk that i could check out, but I trust Science Studio and think it would be great to see these updated boards on the channel.

WHY-O-WHY do you guys go by these generic benchmarks??? they are NOT accurate .. and as we all know that Nvidia likes to tune their FREE cards to reviewers to work faster in GENERIC BENCHMARKS... I ran my GTX770 vs my 7970 and in the REAL WORLD... the 7970 kicked the shit out of the 770 especially running 3 monitors... the 770 could NOT keep up... try some REAL WORLD testing... not this generic shit...

Real world testing? I literally showed you games AND synthetics. Your bias is unbelievably stupid. Nvidia sends free cards? Guess what - so does your beloved AMD.

In my country non XT PowerColor Red Devil RX 5700 costs now 426$. XT variant is difficult to find, thus it costs +100$ more! Good RTX 2070S AIB cards also costs 75-100$ more! For that sake I'll buy it, ecpecially for 144Hz FreeSync monitor? Nah! Never buy vidia card again! Definetely will buy PC RD RX 5700, with More Power Tools or flashing BIOS from XT you can achieve almost same as XT perfomance, but costs 50$ less! And RX cards is mature year after year, while GTX become weaker with next grn is released (can confirm it, because own nVIDIA from 6600 till 950, but occasionally switched to RX570 4GB, and its nice!) And yes, I think AMD drivers (same as CPU) not worse than nVIDIAs, has no any problem with that! Currently own Ryzen 5-3600+MSI B450 Mortar Titanium+ Crucial Ballistix 3800 O.C. with tight timings, 65ns + 24" FHD 144Hz FreeSync monitor. So definetely, Red Devil is best buy! P.S. Sapphire Nitro+ is also nice, but it costs 50$ more!

Hey, I see that in some other reviews that the red light (can’t change color) bleeds through to the front and gives a slight red glow. I have an all blue setup so this would bother me. Is there a way to cover up those lights that light up the display port and hdmi ports? Great video!

There's no reason to spend $600 on a gpu (RTX2070) when games suck as bad as they do these days. The 5700 is (at times) nipping on the heels of an RTX 2080 - screw it, it's well worth the price. No need to get a faster GPU to chase/compensate better frame rates because of poor optimizations of developers. Seriously - theres 2 GPU manufacturers LOL. Remember when $500 was expensive for a GPU? What changed!? The hardware dosent justify the price. I can remember when games had to have custom sound drivers for a dozen sound cards (in DOS) for their games. Theres only 2 real makers of GPU's.

Got my self a 5700xt red devil, it is pretty silent in OC stock setting. but I think the default cooler setting lets the card get a bid warm.Undervolting a bid and doing a custom cooler curve. running assassins creed odyssey at max setting, temps at around 50-55.noise lvl still very good.

It's simple the 2070 super gives in most cases more fps (not by a big margin) than the 5700XT and comes with RTX (even if you don't care about it, having it is better than not having it and you atleast have the option to turn it on if you don't mind reduced fps{50%} ).
But the 5700XT is cheaper and gives comparable performance to the 2070 super and will even beat it if overclocked on the red devil version.
But it all comes to price as in different areas the 2070 super is significantly more expensive than the 5700XT and in other countries it's vice versa.
If raw performance is what you prefer and don't give a shit about ray tracing then straight ahead go for 5700XT especially the red devil version.

So the gigabyte rtx 2070 s is 10 degrees cooler while still being quieter, when consuming only 7w less in your charts. I wouldn't say the red devil does is right if gigabyte makes a cooler that is both quieter and 10 degrees cooler. Can you get your hands on the gigabyte rx 5700 xt gaming oc by any chance? Because if the cooler is the similar to the 2070 s then the red devil is not good at all.

Samsung Qled TVs offer FreeSync AMD support, 1440p 20-120fps range VRR, this card does it right for this application to game PC from my couch! I can’t buy a 2080ti to do 4K @60fps. Rtx 2070S can’t do that either, so why spend more to not even get to the FPS you need for a non VRR capable card, that can’t max your resolution and FPS. VRR FreeSync on big ass tv is a win for me

You did not show the overall temp, it was the junction temp (hottest spot) the overall temp is normaly around 70...... NVIDIA cards usely have also juntion temps, but they will not show them. So if you show the temps then the overall temp, not the hotspot (if you compare the 2 brands).

Does the ZeroFan mode work, before the Driver is loaded (for example when you are in the BIOS of the Mainboard)? This annoys me a bit with my Vega 56 Pulse as I can not tweak my silent case fan profiles in BIOS, because the Vegga56 will always run pretty loud, while I'm the BIOS. With my older Palit GTX1070, the zero fan mode is working, no matter if a driver is loaded or not.
