Some churches don't even let people throw confetti or rice anymore because of clean-up costs. ;-)

And if you worry about being black, just you should know that this festival is also celebrated so that everyone celebrates without knowing differences because everyone is drenched in colour. ☺️

Not wishing to be the fly in the ointment, but has anyone researched what breathing in all that coloured powder clouding the streets does to one's lungs?
Lovely colours and all, and quite the celebration, but those clouds of powder being breathed in........

    • W.J.R. Halyn
      W.J.R. Halyn 17 days ago

@Shalendra Singh Millions of people SMOKE every day of every year, and it takes years for the effects of THAT to make itself known. I guess it's no biggy for a once-a-year thing...... but nobody's researched it (that I've heard, anyway), so nobody knows one way or the other.

    • Shalendra Singh
      Shalendra Singh 17 days ago

@W.J.R. Halyn the fact that millions of people of all ages celebrate it EVERY YEAR should have been enough for you to know that it doesn't do anything

Manta Cesare Fabrizio wtf this is not a rave party. People play with colors and some get drunk. (which isn't necessary and not advisable because the occasion is considered connected to auspiciousness and getting drunk is not the proper way to celebrate it ). Having said that I repeat again it's not a rave party. A lot of foreigners think that this is a rave party but it's not

India isn't a s##t country. Its just that we are a country of 1 billion people with very diverse culture. Hopefully, we will catch up with you western countries in terms of quality and infrastructure. all these problems can be eradicated by education. If enough of our people are liberated from poverty by education, then that day isn't far away where our country will join the list of developed nation!

Your problems and country is very vast. India might need to break into different parts to help govern better. Like states or provinces that unite under one large government but instead of the government having to much power control and trying to supports all of its people and going into debt the government shouldn’t have too much control and should maybe think about becoming a constitutional republic. India can keep its culture, language and history but have a government system like the US, Canada , EU, and Australia and etc. I think India can do it. The first step would be to solve barbaric crimes against women especially and clean up your water systems.

I wasn't talking about the title. I was talking about the written information inside the video. NatGeo always types the info in caps, which becomes difficult to read.

    • Vector Sigma
      Vector Sigma 2 years ago

The thing is, the title of something, a video, or document or anything, is supposed to be capitalized, that way it looks better, formal and proper. So, I guess English isn't your main language, so it's better not to say that.
