The Papadakis Racing team began drifting in 2004 and is the most winning team in Formula Drift history, earning the 2015 title with driver Fredric Aasbo, as well as backto back championship titles with driver Tanner Foust in 2007 and 2008. The Rockstar Energy Drink / Nexen Tire Toyota Corolla Hatchback is the latest competition build from the Hawthorne, California, based team.
Team owner Stephan Papadakis is a legend of sport compact racing who began building his reputation in the 1990s with the first front-wheel drive, tube-chassis drag car in the U.S. The team earned multiple records and championships in the discipline, turning in elapsed times and trap speeds previously thought unattainable in front-drive drag cars. Papadakis' successes in front-wheel drive were matched by his efforts in rear-wheel drive when he campaigned a Honda Civic that became just the fifth car to join the NHRA's Sport Compact 200 MPH club

I'm assuming here the 2JZ isn't an interference engine so you wouldn't need to worry about clamping the cams down and bending a valve as it clashes with the piston?

Как всё-таки мастера в России отстают американских мастеров, это просто пропасть!

When I did the front mail seal on my 1jz vvti jzx100 chaser, some idiot had not only tightened the pulley bolt to spec, 200+ft/lbs, but it turned out they used red lock tight aswel. It was a nightmare to get off with the engine still in the car!lol But for anyone who's not experienced a 1jz gte or 2j gte bouncing of the limiter, it's an engine and a sound you will fall in love with. And in my experience, as long as you look after them with regular services they are bulletproof

A bit like Torreto putting it together on 2JZ ;-) 748 people are retarded. How can you not like this video? Pure excellence. Despite some of the guesses below I'm really curious what would really be the invoice for just the labor for such an external order.

@ 5:20 i dont mean to tell you your business. I thought if you tighten something with impact, even loosely - you should back off the fastener, till loose again and start retorquing over? I'm pretty sure this is exactly how you need to treat head bolts that are already tightened

I genuinely think, if a video was done (during the disassembley) of what EACH part was for, how it works, the pros of upgrading, the cons etc would be amazing.
I understood some of this, but then it was too quick to digest.
    Edit: instantly subbed though 👌

Great you use the toque wrench for almost everything!!
Then you have confidence that it will stay together!
    Precisely why I have 3 ..
Also that you get straight to the point and don’t waist time yapping bout inconsequential ‘stuff’ really is great too..
