All minerals are rocks but all rocks are not minerals. Rocks are composed from minerals or a single mineral. Ice has several forms now considered as mineral. Also methane hydrate/methane ice meets the definition of mineral owing to its solid state under deep ocean pressure. Also crystals are rocks but not all rocks are crystals. Fossils MAY be mineral but its paleological status ihas nothing to do with its rock-type( petrological status)

    • Elton Jones
Elton Jones 29 дней назад +1

Actually coal is a rock not a mineral, Oil is a mixture-- neither rock nor mineral. Some substances were grandfathered in, else re- classified as mineraloids e.g Opal

You want something very useful and fascinating. Combine all these minerals into a single jewel form, then ware it as an amulet. It won't hurt you, but you will find. Many things change very drastically. Sorry for being cryptic, but it's better to experience it yourself. Rather than taking other's words for it.

BEing exploited by information such as this is highly addictive for those who have no common knowledge, holding a rock in your hand for a brief period will tell you if it is harmful or not. Came home once with such an itch after walking around a lake, that had old wood, and rocks galore, to find the culprit has not been found yet, it will be indicative of it being harmful to me. I am allergic to ***Cocaine*** too, it gives me an itch so bad that I want to scratch raw, I make sure that I am well covered when around the powder and I feel the effect of it just by wearing a seat belt which someone who had sniffed allowed for the powder to drop on the belt. Go figure that one.

A video you should not watch. Tell me what solid mineral DOESN'T harm you when pulverized and inhaled over a long time. You really need to dig deeply for this one, pun intended. As for danger... you gotta be kidding. Feldspar and Quartz. How about uraninite, carnotite, thorianite, autunite, torbernite and others of the sort.

Natural occurring minerals from the environment are hazardous to have in the environment?
Also Hydroxy Apatite is what your bones and teeth are made of, so your bones and teeth are hazardous to your health?
Also most drinking water flouride is from Fluorosilicic acid, a byproduct of Uranium processing, to avoid having to dump it as toxic waste, they sell it to water companies for their water and the Flouride in toothpaste is Stannous(Tin) flouride, another toxic waste byproduct of other industries.

Pyrite is iron sulfide. Pyrite mine tailings are pollutants; that part is true. Pyrite is still pretty safe to handle though, just not to let sit in a pile and get rained on.

When the narrator can't even pronounce the element "lead" properly and instead pronounces it like the verb "to lead," well, that kind of makes you think that she doesn't have any idea what she is talking about, doesn't it?

  • Dale Burris
    Dale Burris Месяц назад

how can an element on the periodic table (fluoride is a salt form of fluorine) come out of something that doesn't have that element in it (hydroxyapatite)? I thought fluoroapatite was a different apatite altogether from hydroxyapatite, and that you cannot get fluoride out of hydroxyapatite, you'd just maybe get it from fluoroapatite. Ok, I see now...fluoroapatite "comes from" hydroxyapatite in industry because they add their own fluorine to it, replacing the hydroxy and transforming hydroxyapatite into fluoroapatite for toothpaste. Semantics on my part, but "comes from" depends what discipline you're thinking in. To me it's like saying chocolate syrup comes from corn syrup (but really I have to add the chocolate, I can't derive chocolate syrup "from" corn syrup). I know I sound like a bunghole but a lot of misconceptions come from these exact technicalities and I can't help but notice them. GREAT VIDEO -- liked and subbed
