+Gordon Lawrence Fluorite and fluoride are not the same thing. Fluoride is not at all from the earth but rather is a man-made chemical waste byproduct used to dumb-down the populace and was used in water in Nazi Germany before it was used in America, as taught to by Monsanto, as it calcifies the pineal gland among other things - it is a neurotoxin and is also used to make the atomic bomb. Every time this video talks of fluoride, look into fluorite and they're not the same. Dental fluorosis is also caused by fluoride as it does NOT make your teeth stronger nor anything else good, but does cause holes in your teeth and cancer (as well as emotional desensitization, which is why it is a main ingredient in soooo many psych meds which overtime causes people to fall out of love and end in divorce because they lack emotions to connect and feel each other more and more). Too, I bought pyrite and was commercially sold in the process of me getting it. I also own, like most mineral/stone/gem/such lovers some quartz - entirely safe. I suppose I should finish watching this horrid video (did the global bank cartel make this, is that why they are choosing to dumb people down and not correct anything?) so I can debunk this bullshit for those of you who don't want to be morons.

+Diamonddavej If it comes from earth instead of people, it's organic (fluorite is from earth, fluoride is a man-made waste byproduct that doesn't occur in nature [no matter how long you were brainwashed by the govt that chose to dumb you down with the neurotoxin fluoride] - which she repeatedly lies about fluorite being fluoride in this video, though fluoride is already commonly lied about everywhere in this dumbed-down country), it's organic!!! DUH

I have a small piece of galena, and although it’s an ore of lead, it’s completely harmless. Pyrite is pretty similar.
How is feldspar dangerous? Orthoclase, Albite? Both feldspar materials are safe and are collected. Smoky Quartz is radioactive, that doesn’t mean it will kill you.
I have about 10 bits of Quartz in my house, and I haven’t noticed one difference in my health. I don’t believe in that “chakra healing” stuff, but I don’t think Quartz is too dangerous.

@3:00 this illiterate female announcer says _lead_ as in, "You can the -lead- a horse to water . . ." girl, it's pronounced _LED_ ( Light Emitting Diode) - she doesn't even understand the word *inorganic* - you can tell by her stress point on the word. The symbol for lead is Pb (from the Latin plumbum) - atomic number 82. It is a heavy metal. Please, for the love of intelligence, get rid of -her- !

I used to collect rocks and minerals in the 1980s. I have torbernite, a secondary ore of uranium, beautiful pyrite crystals, quartz crystals, a large, heavy specimen of galena lead and molybdenite. In the 1970s I always wanted to buy a Geiger Counter from the Edmund Scientific Company, but never got around to it.

Radium is an interesting one. It's used on watch hands/dials, to "glow in the dark". The workers that handle large quantities of it, and employees that apply the radium paint, a lot of them developed cancer, since it's basically radioactive. I think there was a documentary called ""The Radium Girls" or something, they were taught to put a good point on their paint brushes, to stick the brush in their mouths and close their lips. So of course, they ingested radium and then got sick. But just owning an alarm clock with glowing hands likely isn't going to hurt you.

These are not as dangerous as they claim in the video. Anything is dangerous if powdered and burned. Handling these things is not dangerous. That is long as people wash their hands before eating, same as I do when working with lead. I'm surprised that they did not have arsenic, as that is dangerous.... They are more concerned about things that are just dangerous to mine in this video, and having them in your collection is not a problem long as you don't grind them and breathe the dust...

What a crock of a reply. How can anyone glue together so many disparate things and say fluoride is the cause. The rise in cavities and ruined teeth is related to our ingestion of sugars in our food and desserts. Want to avoid cavities, brush, floss and rinse.

    • DachshundsRule
      DachshundsRule 3 days ago

+Winds of March Journey/Perry tribute band LOL, mankind has been sweetening foods since forever--honey, birch sugar, maple sugar, cane sugar...you get my drift I'm sure. My point is, tooth decay from acids caused by sugars has always been with us, more now I'm sure due to processed white sugar. Flouridating water was supposed to "deliver us from bad tooth evil", yet that doesn't seem to have happened. Not only that, but flouride is available to dentists to paint onto the teeth as a treatment for specific problems. Why then do they find it necessary to "medicate" the entire country whether they need it or not? Next thing you know, they'll be adding things like lithium to the water to make us all calm (and that's actually been proposed, so don't laugh)

Well, some of us do. Consider--if flouride is so good for your teeth, why do more people than ever before require fillings and root canals? Dentists seem to be doing very good for themselves. I've unfortunately been drinking flouridated water most of my adult life, so how has flouride benefited me, I'm on average losing a tooth a year now? And in what other categories are public officials able to decide the appropriate "dosage" of something, regardless of age, body size, daily consumption levels, and lack of medical oversight? What affect does flouride have on pregnant women? Unfortunately we seem to have stopped teaching people how to think for themselves, just because some government official said something, it must be correct.

just to clarify the fluoride added to your drinking water is sodium hexa fluorosilicic acid which is a highly corrosive and toxic compound that actually destroys your teeth and bone health and it is a bi-product of the foundry industry and there is more than enough science to back this up. this video is talking bullshit on this matter. and its about time the medical and dental industry admitted this and put a stop to it. just remember the dentist who tells you sodium fluoride is good for your teeth is also telling you that its not harmful to have toxic mercury in your fillings even though it is harmful. use your fucking heads people

  • Arexodius

No. Fluorine does not build strong teeth or bones. It's simply not true. It's *VERY* toxic. Stay away from it! *IODINE* is what you really need. Fluorine, Bromine and Chlorine all compete with Iodine and will cause problems in all of your bodily functions. Yes, all of them. Make sure you get enough Iodine and avoid Fluorine, Bromine and Chlorine at all costs! They are all in the same column in the periodic table, but *all of them **_except Iodine_** are highly toxic,* while Iodine is actually *highly essential!* The body _desperately_ needs *Iodine!*
You're welcome! - Now go research this!

    • Arexodius
      Arexodius 28 days ago

Then you’re dead. You can’t be allergic to simple elements like zinc, magnesium or iodine, but some elements are toxic to the human body while some are essential. Which ones are what is the same for every human, because we all work the same anatomically. That said, you _can_ have too much of even a essential mineral (ie toxic levels of it), often because of a deficiency in another essential mineral (because they need to be balanced towards each other like sodium and potassium), but I can assure you that the average industrial world person will never have too much iodine. I don’t know if it’s even possible to overdose iodine, unless you’re already very toxic in certain heavy metals (like arsenic, lead and quicksilver), and also fluoride and bromide, and you’ve been low in iodine all your life (which makes these toxins accumulate) and you start increasing your intake of iodine too much and too suddenly. That could cause your detoxification organs to overload, because iodine initiates detoxification of such toxins. If that’s the case you should ease your way into a higher iodine intake. But if you’re already detoxified from all of that, you basically can’t get too much iodine from normal sources. Maybe if you drank several bottles of nascent iodine solution every day you could cause problems, but common sense says you shouldn’t do that, right? It’s just wasteful! But seriously, get some nascent iodine solution and supplement with it, especially if you live in the US, because you poor people are overloaded with toxins and deprived of good sources of nutrition. There is a product you might want to look up, called *“Detoxadine”.* Also, sea kelp from a reliable source (like from Icelandic waters) is a very good natural source of iodine (and other essential nutrients). I’d say that iodine supplements are a perfect place to start a healthy life style, or something you really should include in one. You can _never ever_ be _too_ healthy!

For the most part airborne particles breathed in are the dangerous part of gemstones/minerals. This is why rock and gem cutters do their work under water to polish these stones. Once polished these gems are basically inert. Pyrite, Cynabar are not in that group. Nor is asbestos. It is best to know what you lick. Rockhounds have been known to lick rocks to help them identify in the field. Yeah, we don't listen to fear porn.

Oh dear.... WE Aussie Bush kids passed our childhood looking for toxic metals like pyrite (tools gold) and trying to experiment to turn it into real hold and g5ow rich fast so we could be rid of annoying parents and teachers. I had no idea these were dangerous, like I hadno idea certain essential oils used in alternative beauty treatments etc are so toxic and dangerous..... Few know such things.

as kids at a science museum, we were given small sample of "fools gold". I found an odd looking rock which had a clear coating over red white and black. Likely counter top lol

The word is lead not lead...lead is a Harvey metal...lead means to push forward...I hate these ppl just reading a script...

Well, the woman doing the voice over is clearly an idiot ("lead emissions"). The person who wrote the script isn't much better. This video was a waste of time.

Learn how to speak English! You spoke several words that betrayed you as an "English as a Second Language" $10.00 says that this channel is RUSSIAN!
What gave you away?: at the 3:00 mark in the video, the words were...
    "LEAD EMISSION SOURCE"
The word is pronounced as this:
Led (as in " Pencil Lead")
    Not as:
Lead (to be lead to something, or to lead people as a Leader)

...Except that your counterexamples are also wrong. If you are discussing pronunciation, you can't give an example that directly contradicts the point you are trying to make ("to be lead to something").

i guess making educational video about minerals must be a side job of the company who made this video, perhaps their real job is being a sandwich artist at subway or something that does not take any kind of reading skills, the narrator could not even read the word lead (led) correctly she thought it was lead (leed) but instead of having her do it over and give the correct name for the mineral they just ran with it. if your going to make videos and post them on youtube you should proof read your scripts and hire a narrator who can read and has a basic understanding of the topic they are going to narrate about. why some youtubers produce videos that make them look like mouth breathing, knuckle dragging illiterate morons I will never understand, did your mothers not tell you to always put your best foot forward and turn your damn phone on its side when recording so the picture fills the screen?
