    Rewatching this. Could you sub yams for the carrots? I think more people would like it then. You know if someone doesn't think they're going to like something, chances are good they've convinced themselves, and they won't like it. ;)

    So I made this for dinner this week... subbed potatoes for turnips and added a little carrot and celery... and reduced the amount of cream (so basically changed a lot of things)... still one of the greatest pot pies I've ever had

    The carrots don't have to be mushy. Just don't cook them in the frying pan as long as the onions and garlic. You don't add the peas until the very end for just that reason. And without the lovely colour that carrots bring to this dish, it's all white. Kinda like Molly. Who calls pepper pep and can't speak a single sentence without upspeak.

    People need to understand that Molly makes simpler recipes is because she mainly works on basically, a sub section on bon appetite, just like Chris and Andy works mainly on healthish which is another sub section. Basically focus on simpler recipes with less ingredients and shorter cooking times for people who's new to cooking, that's why she use store brought ingredients.
    The amount of judgmental comments amaze me.

    0:33 "It takes about an hour start to finish . . ." You bake it for 70-80 minutes, allowing for cooling, so how does it take about an hour? Try two hours.

    I know I'm late to the party but I'm making my version of this recipe tonight for dinner. I don't have a skillet big enough so I used my cast iron dutch oven instead. Chicken thighs were cheaper than rotisserie chicken today so I went with them instead. I browned the chicken first to start a fond than basically did everything else per the video. It's in the oven and I can't wait to try it.

    Thank you about the Thyme! I love Thyme. But fee llike a failure when I can't pick it easily (like I see in most videos). Once you get past the woody parts, the green stems break, and you end up missing loads of the leaves, and often find the woody bits make it into the dish.
