- Only 23 of the nearly 60 Tomahawk missiles hit their intended targets at Syria’s Shayrat airbase Thursday night, according to the Russian defense ministry. The airstrike caused at least 7 deaths. Russia’s military did not use their S-400 missile defense systems to retaliate, but announced that they will suspend their information-sharing with the US. Ian Williams, associate director of the international security program the Center for Strategic and International Studies, joins Ed Schultz and RT America’s Anya Parampil to discuss potential risks in the escalation of the tense regional situation.
