Wake up ! Walmart destroys Small bussiness by undercutting ( frequently selling at a loss to to so) them. American business frequently can't even buy the raw materials at the price Walmart is selling the finished product at. How can you compete with that ? It's driving Americans out of good paying Union jobs into low paying, no benefits, no union jobs. How does that help ?!

The unions steal money out of the pockets of the working man and then they pull shit like this campaign to try and prove their worth.
No union = pay increase for many of these unskilled labor jobs.

Walmart’s American operations are not what bothers me. The unskilled workers who are employed there are paid what they’re worth to the market. It is what it is. Walmart’s unregulated operations overseas making their incredibly cheap products is what makes me squirm. Those people are not paid what they’re worth and Walmart banks millions off of their underpaid labor.

You know in all fairness minimum wage jobs were not meant to live the rest of your life on or raise a family. They are only meant for you to have a job while you try to get in the school or go to school for a better career. Pretty much every generation would renew workers into the system. But with all these people not wanting to further their career you can't do that. Now you got young people don't want to do s*** anymore

Wally ruins a towns job market with lower prices and greater selection. This creates competiton for jobs, inducing lower wages resulting in higher profit margins. Profits generate expansion into new and usually economically stable areas that have livable wages and healthy competition. In short, Wally's buisness objective is provide higher dividend payoffs for stock holders, (owners), and not to provide quality goods at compeitive prices.

  • Graydog 0126
    Graydog 0126 15 дней назад

Greed goes both ways. People want to get stuff cheaper but they also want everyone to have a higher wage and insurance. Sounds good but then the price of goods will go up. It’s economics. This was done 10 years ago and Walmart is still everywhere. Seems like the movement may have done some good but it didn’t shut down Walmart.

Maxine Water's and constituents plan for living:
    1. Screw around for years, party it up and take no responsibility for you actions in your younger years.
    2. Complain and convince everyone college isn't necessary and no one needs a degree anymore
    3. Become a no/low skill worker without any experience
    4. Go to work at Walmart
    5. Complain that Walmart isn't paying you livable wages to support the 5 kids you've had with 3 different people.
    6. Protest; blame capitalism and fiscal conservatives for forcing you in to slave labor and not paying you a livable wage.
    7. Keep voting for the people that convinced you this was the way to live your life and that you're a victim.
Hey union guy, you people haven't been useful since the 1800's in America. You union lawyers are directly responsible for destroying US education, airlines, auto industry, and most blue collar industries. Detroit's ruin is YOUR FAULT.

When I started working from school at a grocery stores I made 3.40$ that was minimum wage back in the 90’s, but that wasn’t the career I was looking for, I was looking for a skilled trade job, mostly because I wasn’t smart enough to go to college, so I never made bank, but I’ve never starved. If someone isn’t lazy they can do skilled trade work, and believe me I barely passed high school with a 70 grade basically a D- , and I’m white, so if I can do it anyone can even other colors of people.

Then convince the employees to quit and go work in oil fields or work for a landscape company or pour concrete. Get those Wal-Mart employees up on 150 degree roofs reshingling or laying brick or in fields picking beans so we can send Mexicans back home. Those Wal-Mart employees rather do easy job for lower pay is why they are there. Like guy said. That's best job they could find. As for people that say Wal-Mart employees get welfare. The taxpayers subsidize Walmart: at today's current minimum wage, most workers at Walmart qualify for some form of government assistance. Medicaid, food stamps, subsidized housing, and the Earned Income Credit (which can be BIG) all apply to minimum waged workers at the federal minimum wage level (some states require a higher minimum).

Walmart is GREAT, you work hard, do just a little extra and you can be a department manager in a few years - with basically ZERO formal education. If you aren't making enough at Walmart, you have the option to leave or go get better job training or education. BTW, Walmart easily saves my family $40 a week, which is over 3.4% of my yearly wage - or more than three mortgage payments a year.

Minimum wage is supposed to be a STARTER JOB, not a living wage. It is not supposed to be a job you retire from. Indeed, for retirees, Walmart is not a starter job, but supplemental income to pension or Social Security.
Look at places like Seattle where minimum wage has been lifted to $15.00 an hour. What about longer term employees who worked their way up to that amount, and suddenly they are now on a par with newer hires. They now want a raise. Often, especially in restaurants where profit margins are low, owners can't afford the labor costs. Hours are cut. I heard the average Seattle minimum wage worker is now making about $127.00 dollars less per pay schedule than before minimum wage was forcibly raised. Or benefits to employees have to be cut back, or jobs are terminated. Are the employees better off? All the rich politicians can easily say to raise wages, it is not coming from their personal pocket books. Most are career politicians that never ran a business.

Walmart workers are subsidized by taxpayers, (food stamps, Medicaid cards etc) your not saving money when you shop there because your taxes make up the difference. many walmarts from what I was told get to keep much of the sales taxes. I seldom shop there. I buy my clothes on line.
