Japan's Biggest Gaming Obsession Explained | Pachinko

  • Опубликовано: 20 июл 2018
  • Pachinko is Japan's biggest game. And yet many people overseas have never even heard of it.
► WHERE we played: Ebisu Cafe in Takayama! bit.ly/ebistakayama
Many thanks to Ebisu Cafe for sponsoring this video; we’d long wanted to get into a Pachinko parlor to film, and we had a great time uncovering the games history and letting Natsuki loose on the machines.
    ► Learn more about Pachinko:
NOTE: Winning is not guaranteed. (Natsuki is genuinely experienced. And a lucky boy).

Just to inform another side of pachinko history to viewers.
A vast majority of pachinko parlors are run by Koreans. Only 5% are said to be run by Japanese. Big portion of money raised in these semi-legal business are illegally sent to North Korea. You play pachinko, you fund Kim Jong Un to shoot missiles and develop nuclear weapons.
Why there are so many pachinko parlors are located in the best commercial area?
After the WW2, Korean mafias who claimed themselves as "citizens of Allied country" (which is a lie) illegally confiscated and occupied lands near the train stations, and in the city centers.
If you want to support and fund Korea to develop nukes, play pachinko hard.
    Otherwise, stay away.

To win Pachinko, you should play machine which spins more than 22 times in 1000 yen avarage.
The japanese in movie says Pachinko is lucky, but not a few people earn own saraly by playing pachinko in japan. They win the pachinko not lucky but statistical strategy.

You didn't explain how you can get at most 4 queued up and should wait for those to play out or it doesn't count. Also, what the heck is FEVER? And what does the Chance button do? And why is there a top shelf and a middle shelf? And do any of those side slots - holes count for anything? And, mostly, what is with all of these robotic arms flying in your face with words and folding and flipping arms? Just more flash? Lastly, they are the noisiest things with just one or two going full blast, I can't imagine a whole parlor with multiple rows. They are horrible to maintain if you happen to own one... everything is labeled in... Japanese! :) Thanks for sharing!

Just came back from our honeymoon. My husband and I had time to kill in Sendai so we tried some Pachinko for the first time. We were pretty clueless and were aided by a Japanese guy who kept coming over to show us what to do. My husband went to cash in his card (the attendant took us to the separate area) and we were shocked to learn he had made 4000 yen! Pretty sure we lost it to UFO machines eventually.. also found Pachinko parlours great for a bathroom stop.
