Too good, Dave! I love, " Remember, texturing is an art!" Also known as Trial & Error, right? What a great filter within Studio 2. I'm trying it on an image I took in the back yard of a cardinal-the bird kind- :-) and it is The Joy of Editing. Thanks for this video. PS. Hey, under category Weather, there is snow, rain and others.

Another great video, Dave. In the past I've used PS Elements for adding textures and lately, ON1 Raw but I find Studio 2 Textures by far the easiest and most powerful to use.

Nicely done Dave. Your video has inspired me to give the Texture Filter a bigger place in my workflow. I would love to see you do a deep dive on the Edges Filter and perhaps show two or three examples of what you can do with it. And, specifically what effect each slider makes on your image.
    Be safe and be well!!

Like you Dave I enjoy taking pictures of flowers. Probably as well as the only photography I can do at the moment is in my own garden! I have started to play around with textures and it has taken a while to get to grips with the basics. When to mask the main subject and how strong a mask I guess is personal taste, one area I am still learning. Keep these texture videos coming, I want to learn more :-)

Thank you Dave. I enjoy all of your videos and frequently refer to them. This one likely was the most moving. Well done.

Those people at Topaz have done it again! Their software is great -- for people who know how to use it. But there are so many options that I would get completely lost if it weren't for you. Great video!

Great tips here Dave. I never paid attention to the texture editing tools other than opacity. I will now.

Can you let us know where you got your filters? Are they included in Studio 2 or an add on feature?

The Textures are provided with Topaz Studio 2. When you go to the texture filter you should see all of the textures that I used. One of the things I love about Topaz Studio 2 is that it comes preinstalled with textures.

Yes Jody, you can add your own textures. There is an Icon in the texture filter that you have to click on. I will try to remember to refer to that in one of my upcoming texture videos.
