    Im a personal fan of new york strip i think its the best steak ever. (Wagyu or kobe beef is obviously better but its dummy expensive and unless you have money for it to buy a nice slab of its almost not worth it)

    if she were an expert she’d know that’s prime rib not ribeye (ribeye is with the bone removed and the bottom triangle piece of fat trimmed) the difference may seem arbitrary but is always at least $2/lb difference

    This is the first video that I thought the expert wasn’t that good. You could immediately tell on the first one that one was aged, also that was a low grade of choice and no mention about the huge variation there. Likelihood of that being kobe beef is very low as they don’t export much. Likely a5 wagyu with a high marble score which doesn’t mean it’s better or worse than kobe. Next the tomahawk, it’s called a tomahawk because it represents a tomahawk, and it’s not the deckle! The deckle is the cap! A tomahawk is a frenched rib that is longer than 5 inches. That is usually short rib that comes from what she called the deckle. Also the craziest part was that in no way was that possibly even remotely close to 100 days aged. And another point, aging starts developing more interesting flavors around 40 days but if you want just the more intense beef flavor and tenderness than 30 is your sweet spot

    Seriously 3 steak options? And one was compared against Kobe! and another clearly aged..SERIOUSLY? Love the host but you all made it far too easy on her! The first few episodes in this series were rock on but they've been getting worse and worse. Shes very educated on the topic though which I cant complain about and I enjoyed watching her eat the steak in some weird way.

    She was right about wagyu having 4 breeds, but jumped into conclusion about Kobe beef. People's comments are right, it's high grade A5 rather than Kobe beef, there's no proof for it being either Kobe or Matsusaka. Kobe beef is not 1 of 4 breeds of wagyu. It's from Tajima strain of Japanese Black cattle, 1 (the most popular) of 4 breeds.

    Despite choice vs prime in the first comparison being the obvious distinguishing factors. She didn’t even point out the fact that the prime steak was aged, giving steak B a clear advantage. Stupid comparison.
