It’s sad to think about how every single soldier mainly combatants, but it can be non-combatants family’s have a change of becoming a gold star family. Watching this made me think about how my mom could get that knock on her door in the course of my career. I pray that every soldier makes it back home and I wish there would be no more gold star families

We had so many great men in Vietnam and I knew many of them, but that war was the biggest lie ever pulled the American military and people. Look at it, it doesn’t take a genius to see it was all just a money making grab for the military industrial complex Eisenhower warned us about before he left office.

When you look up the word leadership, his picture should be there. If you need someone to be an example of what a leader should be, look no further, this is the man. I regret that I never had the honor to meet him. He retired in August 1977 and I went to basic training in September 1977. At least I was in the 7th ID at Ft. Ord one if the places he was a commander of. LTG Moore was born in KY, and the commanding general (LTG William H. Harrison) while I was at Ft. Ord was also born in KY.

That intro is straight outta the 90's. Brought me back. This will, realistically be a nightmare for inplementation. The emphasis should be there for units readying for deployment. For every unit? Absolute nightmare.

    • Omar Massey
      Omar Massey Month ago

Exactly. Brigade combat teams and quick reaction forces have been doing this for years. The focus with support and medical forces should be on MOS specific competencies, as that's what they will be doing on deployment. The term "readiness" is used as a way to shut up those who object to the mass implementation of this.
