Hi guys, for some reason my plate is really dark. If I render the scene with out it it kind of looks like the one in the tutoria lbut once I add it in the liquid turns black and I lose a lot of the "coffee look". Maybe it's the way I have my lights set up but I have changed the intensity of them and nothing. Even when I render the plate by its self it has a really dark shadow underneath it.

At 0:38 you say left click and drag to scrub the timeline. It's changed by default in blender 2.80 to shift + right click and drag..That is such a pain; I mis-click all the time and I know I can't get used to it. How can I left click and drag again in 2.80 without swapping the default select method back to the same as Blender 2.79? Edit: I found it! Left click on the header, not the cursor line. Who'd have thunk?

Important message for anyone making sequence in premiere that isn't 30 fps: After importing the image sequence, before you put it into the time bar you need to right click it, go to modify -> interpret footage, then check "assume this frame rate" and input the frames per second that you rendered it as. If you don't do this then the footage will be all choppy. Also I recommend you generally render your sequences at 24/25 frames per second because it saves decent amount of render time and has no visual notice to it.

I cant get the d-noice to work for rendering the frames for the animation. I can render one still frame then d-noise then save it, but I cant have the d-noise automatically applied to the 30 frames of the animation? Do I have to d-noise them all individually after?

The free OpenShot Video Editor that had Blender installed for its video effects, would that be a better editor than the one in Blender itself? I really like the humor of the makers at Some made the slide from the other side and some even added a tea spoon and made it move with the cup. I'm also a first time Blender user and I hope to come up with something good: tea spoon and sugar cube included on a table and I let it collide with the coffee cup and make a complete mess of it. it will probably take a long time to render it on my core i5 3.2 Ghz 1GB video card and 16 GB ram. I will go for the 60 frames as it looks smoother. And Andrew keep the beard!!

"He gazed up at the enormous pastry. Forty videos it had taken him to learn what kind of smile was hidden beneath those dark sprinkles. O cruel, needless misunderstanding! O stubborn self-willed exile from the loving glaze! Two coffee-scented tears trickled down the side of his nose. But it was all right. Everything was all right, the struggle was finished. He had won the victory over himself. He loved Big Doughnut."

It sucks to try to follow the tutorial when Blender 2.8 is completely different from this version and doesn't include [or makes it very hard to find] certain aspects. Case and point, I hit N, look for 'background images' and it's not even remotely there, along with probably 50% of the toolbar... :/
